Winter getaway

It's not every day I get to stay in a place that the owners really cherish, much less rent one! This place has the charm of an artist's residence and a lot of creature comforts. It was easy to feel warm and cozy. My feet stayed warm downstairs too because of the toasty radiant floor heat!
I liked the openness of the main floor and all of the windows. All of the wood makes it feel warm and cozy too. If you don't like wood, don't come here. There's a lot of it from the floors to the walls to the countertops.
That brings me to my favorite part - the staircase. It's a tree - complete with roots on the bottom floor. It's quite amazing in person.
I slept well there. It's great for someone like me who has allergies because everything is sealed well and doesn't collect dust. In fact, they clean the place with a central vacuum to keep the dust out.
I don't what it'd be like for pets or small children. I did see a lot of games, toys and children/family DVDs. The loft is a great place to hang out, and the property is away from the street. The porches look like they'd be great places to hang out in warmer weather.
All in all, this is a great place to get away from it all. Thanks Chuck and Mary for making this special place!
