Photos and Description of the Seattle vacation apartment rental
One Bedroom, One Bath, Queen Sleeper in the Living Room, Full Kitchen.

If you're looking for a comfortable apartment right in the middle of Seattle, St. John's is a great choice. We're in a very central location and the building is loaded with character. We've kept the original 1910 woodwork and hardwood floors and decorated with good taste and comfort in mind. This apartment is a one bedroom with a large living room with queen sized sleeper. The sleeper is one of those new types that is all foam, quite comfortable even for adults, and it makes a queen sized bed. The bedroom has a queen bed. Both the living room and the bedroom have LCD TV's with DVD players. The living room also has a writing desk and a couple of very comfortable stuffed chairs. The bath has a five foot shower. The kitchen is stocked with all the essentials and includes a full sized gas range.

This is a great location to walk to all of Seattle's sights. And it's a great place to be when you want to come home and relax. A fun neighborhood. Come stay with us! You'll love it

Do you like browsing bookstores?: Seattle's oldest and most loved bookstore, Elliot Bay Books, is located about two and one half blocks from us! It's a wonderful bookstore with a great and large selection of books on any subject. Located right next to Elliot Bay is Everyday Music, offering one of Seattle's largest inventory of cd's and dvd's.

About Christine Heller

St. John's is owned by Oda Egeland and Mark Chambers. We've been married for 18 years and have owned St. John's for the last 7 and had short terms apartments since December of 2005. It's been a great experience for us. We love it! We completely went through the building during the first three years of ownership, updating everything. The short term apartments are our homes away from home and we stay in them regularly when they are available. We keep trying to improve them and make them more like a home, super comfy and with all the conveniences you could possible want.

Why Christine Heller chose Seattle

St. John's is in the middle of Seattle, on Pike Street, right next to a large grocery store and surrounded by interesting shops and restaurants. It's in the middle of the most happening of all neighborhoods! There are three restaurants in the building, two more on our block, and dozens in the surrounding blocks. Plus there are lots of small stores and shops, lots of fun stuff. Two blocks away, for book lovers, is Seattle's oldest and best bookstore, Elliott Bay Books. It's a must see--a wonderful old building with a tremendous selection. And if you're into music, right next door to Elliot Bay Books is EveryDay Music, which is a huge music and video store. Got kids? Right across the street is Cal Anderson Park, jammed full of playing fields, sport courts and play areas with swings and such for the young ones. All in all ours is a great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in this cozy home away from home. And what a great location! We walked to Pike's Place Market where we were able to buy fish and vegetables for a delicious home-cooked meal. We also walked to the water to catch the ferry to Bainbridge Island. We felt like we were in a great location to access everything we wanted to go do, and we got to return to "our neighborhood" to relax afterward. We hope to be back again.

Thanks so much!

Philip and I have been so perfectly comfortable here. The bed, the furnishings, the extras (TVs, iron, coffee) and the location.

Going to the wedding we came here from Colorado for, we're well rested and with smiles on our faces.

Thanks for such a nice place.

Our third or fourth stay at St. John's. We always love our stay here - so convenient to so many great restaurants and to downtown. Also, Johnny is a character and a great host. Check out the photo masterpieces on the 3rd floor.

St. John's was the absolute ideal home base for our visit in and around the city!! Nothing is more comfortable and "gemütlich" than to sit and read and discuss in the cozy rooms, especially during periods of rain which even happen in beautiful Seattle.

Thanks for a great stay.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in the apartment. The room had a nice old-time feel to it. It was fully and nicely furnished. The WI-FI and parking were nice perks. There are easily a dozen restaurants within 100 yards of the apt with a full fledged grocery store across the street. The kitchen was cozy...yet fully functional. Downtown is within easy walking distance (10-15 min)...although the walk back will be more difficult (uphill). The neighborhood has a young 20-something vibe to it.

The only (minor) downsides were the VERY basic cable (no ESPN or national cable news) and the couple of homeless people lingering around the grocery store.

We stayed here for the weekend in Sept. 2010 and LOVED everything about the place. It's exactly as the photos show and no exaggerations in the descriptions. Well stocked kitchen, easy going and helpful Johnny to take care of us, comfortable and CLEAN place, everything worked great. We also LOVED the ottoman and the comfy sofa bed. We've stayed in vacation rentals before and this was one of our faves. Will definitely stay again! Thanks!

We stayed in unit 308 on our vacation this August (2009). It was very comfortable and close to everything. Johnny was very helpful and accomodating--the perfect host. We were concerned about noise, as there are many nightclubs and restaurants in the neighborhood. But our fears were unfounded, as it was quiet in the apartment. We slept with the windows closed and the AC on. It may have been noisier if we had the windows open. The apartment had plenty of kitchen stuff, towels, etc., and there was a nice laundry room downstairs. We enjoyed the TV's (one in living room and one in bedroom). We would definitely stay there again.
