If your looking for a relaxing vacation by the sea... My husband and I stayed at the Mare Sereno , Palmas del Mar complex in March 2013 with our 2 kids ( 7 and 10) and we had a great time. The condo we rented was very spacious packed with amenities including the membership passes for the whole week. The place was conveniently located closed to the great sandy beach, the casino, tennis courts and the beach club. The kids enjoyed the backyard and the pond filled with turtles. This condo met all our requirements and more. We highly recommand it and hope to return soon.

My family stayed at Dr. Pedro's condo for a most wonderful family winter vacation. We were able to fit 2 adults and 4 small kids comfortably. The unit was clean and well maintained. It was right next door to the pool and a short walk to the beach and beach club. We had a great time!

We have such a large family (2 adults and 4 children) that I decided to check out VRBO for our vacation in Puerto Rico. I have never rented through this website, so I was a bit hesitant as how the process worked, etc. However, dealing with the owner of this rental was wonderful. The owner was prompt with replies, always available for answers and provided all the information needed for a great stay. The listing is accurate, the pictures are exactly what they show and the property is definitely clean and well maintained. The beach was steps away, the pool was right outside the villa and my kids loved waking up in the morning to feed the turtles and watch the iguanas basking in the sun! The property is located on the east side of Puerto Rico in Humacao. We flew into Luis Munoz International Airport in San Juan. It was only a 45-50 min drive to the villa. From the villa, we were able to drive about an hour and visit the north side of El Yunque Rainforest where we trekked around and swam in the beautiful La Mina falls. We also walked around Old San Juan for a day and explored El Morro national monument and Castillo San Cristobal. We will have to come back to kayak the bioluminescent bay and check out the rio camuy caves. Wifi in the villa was a bonus in order to do the research and plan each day (instead of doing it at home before we got there!). We definitely had a vacation to remember! Thank you!

Our family is just returning from a 2 week stay at Palmas. We chose this condo because of its location, spaciousness and price. We were not disappointed. Location -- Palmas is a very large resort with lots of ammenities. The resort is located 45-60 min from San Juan and easily accessible by hwy. Dr Rodriguez was very helpful and provided guest passes that allowed us to enjoy a few of the ammenities at Palmas. We enjoyed visiting the Beach Club. The water park is diverse enough to keep my 8yr old busy but shallow enough that mom & dad could relax without following him in the water. Entrance fee $15/adult, $10/children. In constrast the beach (in June) is choppy. At Palmas we also enjoyed the driving range but my favorite activity was a visit to Buena Vista Ranch. Getting a chance to ride a Paso Fino on the beach was priceless (actually $35/hr). Spaciousness--the condo is clean, well stocked and quite roomy. The photos accurately represent the condo. The pool is rather small but the condo comes equipped with almost everything you need. My son was delighted to find several boogie boards in the shed. Price -- for about the price of a hotel room our family was able to enjoy spacious accomodations in a resort which offers lots of ammenities. I would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends.

The villa was perfect and in very good condition. Everything was clean and it had all the things we needed plus more. Having chairs and beach towels was great. My teenagers were very entertained with the pond and feeding the turtles. There were not many people the week we were there so we practically had the place to ourselves and it was very peaceful sitting out in the terrace. Would highly recommend this place and when we go back to PR will definitely look this place up to stay.

A great place to stay with your family. Excellent views and comfort, proximity to the beach and many restaurants. The apartment was very big and well equipped. We look forward to going back in the near future.

We recently stayed at the villa for spring break with our two sons ages 7 and 9. It was very clean, lots of extra space. Loved the extra closet space, third bathroom, and 2 patios. The boys loved the pool being right outside the door. We enjoyed feeding the turtles and birds everyday. The beach was a very short walk across the street, we tended to go right, the waves were better for body surfing. We spent one day at the beach club, where the boys enjoyed the watersides. We actually saw an Iquana jump into the pool and swim to climb up a tree, the boys are still talking about it. We took a trip to the rain forest, and went snorkeling on Matt's Cat from the yacht club. The doctor provided such good information about the area and restuarants. We ate at the Mexican place twice, had pizza one night, and cooked in some.
We will return to Palmas

We arrived by car from the airport on the 26th of March. The owner gave us much information prior to our arrival about restaurants, facilities, activities within driving distance etc, and also detailed instructions on how to reach the villa from the highway.

When we arrived, the owner guided us through everything we needed to know about the condo for keys, guest member passes, pool access, and more. He was also easy to contact in case of any questions on our part concerning the villa and how to leave it upon checkout.

The pictures on the site are exactly how we found the villa upon arrival. Everything was beautiful and perfectly clean. All necessary kitchen supplies were provided and there is also a grill outside. The pool is right outside the villa and the beach photo on this site is just a 5 minute walk away! There is a lot to do around Palmas itself--gold, tennis, beach, gym facilities, and great restaurants. Travel to San Juan or to the rainforest is not difficult with a car.

Staying with a group of 4 was very comfortable with plenty of space for all. I think the quality of the villa combined with the location and price make it an incredible deal. We would be happy to return next year!
