This property was beautiful. Its proximity to the beach could not be beat. The rooms were all clean and very comfortable. Lexie was super easy to work with and the house was absolutely gorgeous. The housekeeper and gardener were both very nice and helpful, and it made our stay that much more luxurious.

We stayed in this property for three weeks in January 2013. We were a large family with 3 young children. I must say this house exceeded all of my expectations. The owner was fantastic and very responsive to all my emails. Areceli and Geno, the people that clean and do the landscaping were two of the nicest, kindest, people I have had the pleasure of being around in a long time. They don't speak a lot of English but nevertheless are easy to communicate with. The way they treated our children was above and beyond.
This house is open air living at its best. The kitchen, eating area, and TV room are all open air and the bedrooms are enclosed, all with attached baths and air conditioning. The pool is just great for young children. With outdoor living you do need to be aware that there are mosquitos and bring bug spray if they bother you. There were a couple members of our group that seemed to get bit more often and were somewhat annoyed by them but it didn't change their opinion on how much they loved the house.
The other aspect of the place that was great was the beach access. There is a path right out the front door that takes you down to the beach. For young kids it was totally perfect, nobody worried about forgetting anything and having to run back to the house to get it. The beach in Longosta is much less crowded then Tamarindo and that was a huge appeal for us. We felt like we couldn't of picked a better location.
Another thing I really enjoyed about the house was the wonderful landscaping, the trees, plants, and flowers were just wonderful. I would equate it to your own tropical paradise. It is really nice to have a place that is secluded from the wind. There were a couple of days you didn't want to be on the beach because of the wind but the courtyard was totally protected.
I think the only issue I might of had about the place was you had to reset the wireless for the internet a couple of times a day. It only take about 30 seconds to do but after a couple of weeks it got a little old.
All in all I would totally recommend this house without any hesitation.

Staying here was an absolute joy! Loved the inside/outside living and the 4 rooms with private baths were perfect for our large party. It was kind of like staying in our own private boutique hotel. The owners were amazing at making sure that we had everything we needed. I asked if there were beach toys for our two little boys, they said no, but when we arrived they had toys waiting there! The location to the beach was easy, down a rustic trail that often had monkeys overhead. My boys loved the tide pools and that area of the beach was best for little kids swimming. We loved the rustic aspect of the house, but be sure you do. There are animals, raccoons, that come every night to see if you left food around in the outdoor kitchen. Even when you're sitting there. I'm guessing some people like to feed them. My elderly parents were with us and they loved the place, they did make comments on how there weren't any really comfortable places to sit and relax, and I think the rest of the party would agree. Would also be a perfect place for a group of surfers, as they have a great surfboard room, and the location is a great jumping off point for some great surf spots. Though the surf out front of the house only looked good for beginners. The only other thing I would say is about the town. I've had lots of friends who had been here years ago, and their views on Tamarindo now seem like memories. The town, seems like it's grown a little too fast. That's what we loved about this house, as it was in a quite part of town. Also the food was way more expensive then we thought it would be. Don't expect third world prices. We're from LA and it was almost LA Prices! In a heart beat we would go back to stay at this amazing house!

This home is a perfect hacienda with a pool and a garden in the courtyard. The beds were firm and the bedrooms airconditioned. The kitchen was large and functional for those of us who like to cook. A housekeeper came daily to clean and do laundry which was a real bonus for us. The home is literally 5 minutes from the ocean through a short path in the sand.

After ten years of planning; my husband, four adult children and two significant others arrived in Costa Rica. We stayed at the Hacienda for the last part of our vacation. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and enjoy this beautiful country. We thought that not having a car would be a problem, but there were two small grocery stores within walking distance. We did our big shop at the Auto Mercado on our way into town so we just had to pick up things we were out of. The beach is close enough to run back when you forget something and is amazing for new surfers like ourselves. We enjoyed the out of doors Hacienda layout. There were bugs on occasion in the evening when eating dinner so you should have spray on hand. We can't say enough about the staff. Even though we didn't speak Spanish, we had no problems interacting. The Hacienda is always clean and the courtyard is a beautiful place to hang out. We used the hotel next door to book tours and interact with the monkeys. We also had dinner there (on the beach) on the last night of our stay. It is a short walk to town and we enjoyed lunch on the beach at several different restaurants. We were all very sad when it came to an end.

Hacienda del Pacifico was a perfect location for our group. We represented 4 different families. The home was beautiful, and the staff very pleasant and professional. We had no idea what to expect when we arrived, and the home was beyond what we imagined. The location was also excellent. Kind of secluded, but a one minute walk to the beach and a two minute walk to Capitan Suizo, which has a fabulous restaurant. We were a 10 minute walk from the town, and were able to walk the beach everyday to shops and restaurants. There are many wonderful restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would highly recommend this property.

The Hacienda del Pacifico is everything you see in the photos and videos. We spent about a week there in January and enjoyed the house and location tremendously. The house is spacious and the support staff kept it extremely clean. The courtyard is a great place to tan and the pool lets you cool down from the constant sun! Langosta beach is about a minute away from the house and is never crowded. Take a walk along the beach and you'll get the most amazing views of the sunset. There are a number of other beaches within a short drive away, and all have their own unique appeal. The town has a variety of restaurants, although we cooked most of our meals at the house since it's well-stocked with all the utensils and cookware you need to make a big family meal. The property manager and support staff were all so friendly and helpful, there was nothing to worry about throughout our stay. We'd definitely recommend the property to people we know looking for a clean, quiet and easy vacation spot.

We stayed at the Hacienda for 6 days in January 2012 and absolutely loved this property, especially the quiet location while being so close to the heart of Tamarindo. And the beach less than a minute walk! The bedrooms are built around a tropical courtyard with a little pool and lots of birds visiting. The kitchen/dining area and living room are open to the courtyard. There is 1 master bedroom with queen bed, 2 smaller bedrooms with 1 queen bed each, and 1 bedroom with 2 twins. They all have their own bathroom. Very private, very clean (maid was there every day from 8-1), and safe (security guard at night). Lexie was also available anytime for questions and extremely responsive. Would stay here again! One item on my wish list for next time: electric tea/water kettle please! :-)
