This beach home was designed to maximize the unbeatable view of the water, while creating a living space to accommodate large groups with ample room for cooking and dining together. Redfish is a beautifully appointed home with all the modern amenities you'd expect from a luxury vacation rental.

Spend hours on the beach, playing in the surf, building sandcastles and netting crabs. You'll want to call everyone together in the early evening to enjoy sunsets from the spacious porch or upstairs balcony.

You'll have the best of both worlds; enjoy the bustle of Seaside, then retreat to the quiet of Blue Mountain Beach just minutes away. Walk down to the Blue Mountain Creamery for some homemade ice cream and La Loba's bakery for organic sweets and sensational carry out meals. For the Health of It, a health food store and juice bar, McTigh's Irish Pub and Pizza Joint, Marie's Bistro, and Nick's Seafood are all within a few minutes walk.

There is a 23-mile paved bike path running alongside 30A; if you don't have a bike there are nearby rental shops. Oftentimes we park the car and use our bikes all week!

Both saltwater and freshwater fishing abound: fish for bluefish, spanish mackerel, amberjack, grouper, red snapper, speckled trout, pompano, black drum, cobia, and, of course, redfish.

This is the bedroom setup at Redfish:

-One is on the main floor with 2 full sized beds.

-On the second floor is the master bedroom with private bath, walk-in shower and a king-sized bed.

-On the second floor is the second master with a king sized bed and a daybed

-On the second floor is a bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk bed.

-On the third floor is a loft space, with a built-in ladder, and 2 twin beds.

-There is a twin daybed on the catwalk.

We have a management company on call 24/7 should any issues arise.

If you've never been to Seaside, you're in for a treat. It is a picturesque town with unique architecture, picket fences and homes tightly knit to encourage walking and a community feel. Its 'walk-to-anywhere' design includes a gourmet food market, coffee shops, ice cream parlors, restaurants, art galleries, and small boutiques all centered around a town square with an outdoor amphitheater. Seaside was featured in the 1997 movie The Truman Show.

If you feel like a change of pace, you can drive the 25 miles to Destin, where you can tour the Gulfarium (an aquarium with over 200 mammals, fish, birds and reptiles) take a Dolphin Cruise, go to the Hard Rock Cafe or shop at one of the more than 100 stores located in the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. In the other direction is Panama City Beach, where you can stroll the Boardwalk at the new Pier Park, with nearly 100 shops and restaurants, or try to get your name on the 'best times' board at the Gran Maze at Coconut Creek Family Fun Park.

You won't be disappointed with the area, and we know you'll want to come back again and again to our little piece of heaven on the Gulf. Redfish is truly a beach house where you can unwind and create family memories together.

Why The Owner chose Blue Mountain Beach

We have been in love with the Seaside area since 1996, when we first vacationed there. It is a place that is very special to us and is terrific for families.

What makes this house unique

The bike path is our favorite feature. We ride everywhere, sometimes we even have a destination in mind before we set out! The path is paved and FLAT - anyone will enjoy it.

Couldn't believe our eyes when we walked into this fabulous home...right on the beach! Two decks to watch the sunrise each day and the sunsets each evening. Dolphins, stingrays, pelicans, cruise ships on the horizon. Everything was perfect. Management was a phone call away if we needed anything--which was rare. You must tour Water Colors, Seaside, Rosemary Beach...lots of quaint shops. It was fun to see all the bikers, walkers and golf-carts using the bike paths and enjoying the area. Red Bar is a fun, funky place for spectacular food. Stop by Goatfeathers for the daily catch--the fish is spectacular. The pictures are lovely on this site, but seeing it and living it can't be beat!! It was the best 60th b'day with all my girlfriends/sisters. We had a blast and are planning our return trip. Loved Redfish!!!

What a way to Celebrate my 60th!

What a great find!! We couldn't believe how beautiful this home is...right on the beautiful white sandy beach. Upper and lower decks to soak in the morning sunrise and evening sunsets. Dolphins swimming by almost daily, lots of stingrays and pelicans. The week was perfect. There were 6 of us girls and we had a memorable time at Redfish and have already started discussing our return trip! The pictures on this sight show everything, but nothing compares to living it! The property manager was available to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. You must lunch at Red Bar--unique, quaint, fun and the food is fantastic. Stop by GoatFeathers for fresh-caught fish. We toured Water Colors, Seaside, Rosemary Beach areas...all quaint villages with lots of shops and restaurants. Bike paths all along 30A and people walking, biking, golf-carting all over. Love the area and love the home. Thanks Redfish for a great 60th birthday!

Amaaaaazing view! Amazing place - amazing stay!

Wow! Redfish was simply amazing... it was just the 4 of us rambling around in this huge place the week after Easter. The views are amazing from every level. We watched the sunsets from both decks as well as the beach and even inside from the daybed! Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was fabulous. The kids loved climbing up to take naps in their special loft. We saw amazing sealife - even a rare MANATEE! My husband kayaked, we rode bikes to ANOTHER BROKEN EGG (my all time favorite breakfast place - try the bananas foster pancakes!) just a few miles away, as well as to SRB where our young kids loved the gelato, small post office and running/playing soccer by the amphitheater. The kitchen is huge with fantastic kitchen table and seating at the 'bar' to accommodate many people. We ventured up to the health food store for honey sticks - thanks for the recommendation! We ventured to Destin one day to enjoy a bit more of the "hustle and bustle". This place is simply amazing. The location is fantastic. You are close enough to the "city" but easily chill out in your own haven of RedFish. The owners were incredible - the house is well equipped and they have fantastic binder with "things to do". We had some questions when we arrived, and they were VERY quick to respond. THANK YOU for allowing us to share your amazing place! We look forward to coming back with our extended family one day...

We just returned from a week long stay at Redfish, and we're already anticipating our next return! Redfish was the perfect location & perfect first vacation for our 6 month old daughter. Next time, we hope to bring a few more guests to enjoy the spacious home & fall in love with Redfish as we did. We we're able to take bike rides, kayak, fish and just soak up the sun & enjoy each others company over many meals in such a wonderful home! Thanks again!

Heavenly week at Redfish

Redfish is a family vacation dream house! 4 generations gathered for a week of fun in the sun and ended up with incredible memories for a lifetime! The kitchen is perfectly laid out for crowd-cooking and the huge wooden table is SO nice for meals and games! A little rain didn't dampen the fun- we just played ladderball on the HUGE front porch! Beautiful starlit nights are great away from the Destin and PCB lights... Looking for a perfect place where your family can be together, but still have their privacy? Redfish is IT! Book it!

RedFish was perfect for our family event. Close to Seaside, and Santa Rosa Beach. Kids biked, Kayaked and my son and I played Santa Rosa CC.
The house was ideal for our gathering, and we hope to visit again soon.

Beachfront Paradise!!

We rented Redfish for the week after Christmas through the New Years. And this house was spectacular!!! It not only, lived up to, but exceeded our expectations for a well needed week of fun and relaxation with our family. We were able to rent bikes just three blocks from the house to use all week. Seaside and Grayton beach are just an easy 2 and 4 miles respectively from the beach house. We also had a kayak delivered to our house for use all week and loved how easy it was to simply launch from the beach whenever the urge struck. While Redfish is proximate to everything you'd ever want to do in the Destin/Seaside area....I think the best part of the vacation was simply enjoying the beautiful and spacious house that provides breathtaking views from sun up to sun down. And oh, the sunset!. On a more practical note....we rent A LOT of VRBO homes and what we most appreciated about this home was the impeccable cleanliness....clean refrigerator....and most importantly, "real" property management that is courteous and responsive. We had one minor hiccup in the first couple of days with the hot water heater and one call to the property management company and it was quickly taken care of. Thank you Redfish for helping to create another vacation of wonderful memories for our family. We look forward to coming back soon!!! The Helmans (Atlanta)

We have been home for almost a week now and are still relishing our great time in your house on Blue Mountain. We all (14) had a great time. The kids caught crabs and jelly fish and fed the birds on the beach. We gathered shells and rented a kayak for all to enjoy. Thank- you for the great accommodations.
