I have been making periodic extended trips to the San Diego for the past 10 years and have always hoped to find a place like this. - convenient, clean, well-equipped and maintained, with owners who really care about their property as well as providing their renters with a pleasant and memorable experience. Well, at last I've have found it! The whole rental process from start to finish (emails, contracts, deposits etc.) couldn't have been smoother. The Carroll family home is totally equipped with more than one could possibly expect in a typical "vacation rental". Pots, pans and utensils galore! Everything is obviously well-maintained and cared for. Gardens and landscaping is really a plus! During my visit, the owner and her sister even came by to dig up and replace two recently added baby lemon bushes that were looking a bit "sad". The home is located in a very convenient and quiet neighborhood right off Interstate 8. Qualcomm stadium is a mere 7 miles (11 minutes) away. Many restaurants and stores are 3 miles or less away including a major mall (Grossmont), Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Trader Joe's, Henry's (Sprouts), Target, Best Buy etc. I even found a YMCA less than 3 miles away with year-round outdoor pool. I've already re-booked a 2 month stay this winter.

The house was exactly what we wanted. We were even able to enjoy the fresh produce in the yard - figs and tomatoes! It was quite warm in San Diego during our visit so the fans and air conditioning were wonderful.

There were many good grocery stores and restaurants in the near vicinity. The freeway entrance was only a couple of blocks away so it was easy to get around.

This lovely house has all of the comforts of home for an unbelievable rate. Centrally located, anyone fortunate enough to book the rental is only 15 minutes drom pretty much anywhere you want to visit in San Diego. Not only is this home everything you could hope for (and more), the owner is a charming person who is dedicated to making your stay as stress free ancd enjoyable as possible. The only cons at all were the fact that there is no central air (Im sure this isnt a huge concern, it simply happened to be warmer than usual during the week of our stay) and the neighbor next store who seemed to be interested in everything we were doing. Despite these two things, I would highly recommend the property and I am sure we will be renting again!

Linda, thank you so much for letting us rent your property. My family had a great week of fun and relaxation. We have vacationed in San Diego for over 30 years and have never rented a home before. I don't think I could go back to staying in a hotel anymore. You have a beautiful little home in a quaint neighborhood. The pictures on the website are just as the home appears. It was easy to find, the location was great for everything that we wanted to do that week and it was very clean. You have the home very well equipped with everything we could need and then some. It was really nice to have the laundry room. It allowed us to do laundry at our convenience. The patio and bbq area is a really nice feature. We had a surf and turf cookout one evening with dining on the patio. We cooked the fish we caught the day before on our deep sea fishing trip. When the kids went out for trips to the beach and Sea World, my husband and I stayed home and got in some well deserved rest and relaxation. Oh yeah, we did take in a Padres game as well. The foot long hot dog was great, the weather was quite cold and the fire works after the game was spectacular. We had such a good time that we are planning to stay at your place again next year. I would highly recommend staying at the Carroll House to anyone.

This is our first vacation home experience and we could not be happier. The home is roomy, extremely clean, and conveniently located. Linda is very thoughtful and accommodating. We will definitely suggest this home to our friends and families.

Being from the Midwest and our first time in a rental home needless to say we we did not know exactly what to expect. All I can say is that all of our expectations were met.We cannot say enough good things about this wonderful home. It was everything the listing said and even more, it was clean, comfortable, safe and centrally located in which direction you would choose to go. San Diego is a great place to visit with many things to do and the best part of it was at the end of the day we knew we had a great place to retreat to and to prepare ourselves for another day, it was just like being in your own home just in a different city. Linda the owner was very accomadating in making sure we had all we needed and there was always someone availabe if we needed them. I would recommend this place to stay to anyone visiting this wonderful city.

My mom, my daughters and myself stayed here while the floors in our house were getting done and the house was amazing! From the house "manual" with answers to pretty much any questions we could have to all the necessities of life a person might need-it was there! Comfortable, clean, great backyard, I loved it and so did my daughters! Thank you! We're recommending the house to our out of town family!

I cant say enough of how wonderful my stay was here. I came to CA with my mom and met my Sister and her family here. We rented this house for the first time and I must say I would love to rent it again next year. It was so clean and equipped with everything we needed. It felt like home. It was conveniently located to everything too. I was very impressed and would recommend this house to everyone! Thanks for making my stay a wonderful one!
