We travelled as a family of 5: 3 adults and 2 kids, including a 10 month old. Property managers/owners were very polite and easy to deal with. Both Carole and Victor made a good impression. One of the selling features was the easy booking process and a fair payment method. This was our first time booking using vrbo. We usually play it safe and book a descent 4 - 5 star hotel, however this year, we had a baby to consider and we wanted more of a home environment, yet be on a vacation. Let's start with the positives about this condo. It is in a great location : right on the beach, short drive from the airport, with major stores across the street. Restaurants are walking distance as well. You are surrounded by many other, and better condo buildings, and it's nice to be able to just take a stroll and look around. You don't need a car, if that's all you want. Now, I have to mention why my rating is so low. This building was built in 1957 and it looks like it. The pool water didn't look too appealing. Shade appeared after lunch. If you want an umbrella, you have to rent it. The beach sand somehow always looked dirty and more on the darker side. No shade. If you want an umbrella or chair, you have to rent it. The hallways were terrible and there was a strange, old smell everywhere. Elevators were tight and slow. One broke down when we were there. To take the stroller down to the pool area, we would need to take a service elevator right downstairs to where their laundry facilities are; very inconvenient and too slow. Going back to the pool topic, it was closed for a private function one day we were there! There was no compensation to other users. Also, the alarm went off at least 3 times during our stay. It was a false alarm, but, it was an annoyance, especially at 3 am, with a baby sleeping. Now, the condo unit itself needs work. The same old smell exists as soon as you open the door. It is an old building! My mother in law suffers from allergies. They were bothering her from day 1 of our stay, until we left the place. My baby got sick one day: high fever, cough, runny nose. Lucky for us, the fever lasted only 24 h. I got a cold, sore throat. Bathrooms need renovations. I bathed my baby in the sink. We took showers out of necessity only. Kitchen was ok, but not all of it was redone. Cupboards are old. Water is dripping from vents.Place needs new vents everywhere and a new paint job. Next year, we will have to look elsewhere.
