Our family has been lucky enough to travel quite a bit around the Carribean & Central America-Villa Dos Loros is a gem. The front sea view, just steps away, is in turn georgeous, soothing, beautiful and wreathed in rioteous sunset colors. As a professional artist, I came to Cozumel with a fairly critical eye-there is beauty to behold and enjoy all over the island. Yes, it can be crazy when several cruise ships are in; but Villa Dos Loros is enough removed from the downtown to be peaceful & calm no matter what. Judy is a great owner and very friendly. The house has all you need to relax-my oldest son cooked up a killer meal in the well-equipped kitchen for six family members to celebrate I and my wifes' 27th wedding anniversary! The pool is wonderful with ammenities even for small children. Jacuzzy nights under a blanket of stars you could pluck out of the heavens they seem so close! We spent several nights at the end of our pier watching dozens of small squid flourese and feed on the bait fish while the bigger ones darted in to snap up the squid-natures light show! Iguannas sunning on the seawall and frgate birds against the morning sky...Great and friendly staff, our own parking spot, and beautiful grounds. All in all this was one of the best times we have had in many,many years of traveling and living in Latin America. Period.

A Wonderful Week!

Our family, ages 9 months to 59 years old, had a mini reunion at Villa Dos Loros. Judith, the owner was very helpful. She provided a thorough tour of her home upon our arrival. She also had groceries that we requested in the house so that we didn't need to go shopping immediately after our long trip. The home was well equipped with all that we needed and spotlessly clean. We especially appreciated the 3 1/2 baths, and the washer/dryer. The beds for the adults were very comfortable and had high quality linens along with lots of pillows. The crib was a play pen with a bottom mat that didn't quite fit securely around all of the edges. Although we put a blanket over the mat, I would recommend bringing a pack 'n play if you have an infant. The snorkeling out front was great! We saw parrot fish, angel fish, a lion fish, a stingray, and a barracuda that guarded a school of large silver fish that seemed to stay in the area. The swimming pools were perfect for the younger ones. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub, especially on starlit nights! Our favorite activities were snorkeling - especially at Playa Azul and Play Corona, swimming with the dolphins at Chankanaab Park, boogie boarding on the other side of the island (Judith provided two boogie boards), and just "hanging out" in front of the villa! The sunsets were stunning, so we often spent evenings relaxing in lounge chairs on the beach just in front of the villa! There were not many people in the houses around us, so it was always quiet and peaceful. The neighbors that we did meet were very friendly. We always felt welcomed and safe. The history/art museum in town, that included a Mayan hut, was interesting for the whole family. We also enjoyed dining out a few times. We chose restaurants recommended in Trip Advisor. Be sure to visit Chocolateria isla bella for amazing chocolates! The owner of the shop also referred us to some great beaches for snorkeling. We returned home with many happy memories of our week in sunny Cozumel, including a wonderful church service on Easter morning at a church that Judith had recommended. Thank you, Judith, for sharing your lovely home and community on the ocean with our family! We will highly recommend Villa Dos Loros to our friends!

Absolutely perfect home for a fantastic stay!

I cannot say enough great things about our experience at Villa Dos Loros!!! My family and extended family travels to Cozumel every year after Christmas and this was our first year of having the great fortune of finding and staying in this gem! The views each morning overlooking the ocean are priceless. The house suited all of our needs and we were pleased with the size of each of the rooms. We really appreciated this home was all on one level as it made it perfect for smaller children.
We woke up every morning to the most gorgeous sunrises and then proceeded to grab our snorkel gear and swim right out to the nearby reefs. The pool and baby pool were perfect and we could not have enjoyed them more if we tried. Usually when we are in Cozumel, we head out to local beaches each day. That was not necessary this year as we had everything we needed right outside our patio door. Our local dive master (Hernan Bacelis) was even able to pick us up at the handy pier.
Judy was helpful, responsive and knowledgeable and couldn't have made a better host. Our only change for next time will be to take her up on the food service which seems extremely reasonably priced. My family is already looking at dates to book next year and we cannot wait!!!! Perfect, perfect, perfect! Thanks again Judy!

Great place to stay!

Had the pleasure of spending 10 days here in July 2011. Great location to the pool and a short walk to the pier. The condo was in great shape then and it sounds like there are some recent nice additions. Most dive operations will pick you up right out front- you cant beat that! The Owners are great people to work with and offered great advice for our stay. On a side note, the last morning I had a flat tire before heading to the airport, the guard at the main entrance was more than willing to go the extra mile and help me change the tire. Overa all a great place to vacation, dive, snorkel, nap by the pool...

This is a beautiful place. Though the photos are good, the view is better in person. The house is very nice and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, the pelican, the lizards, the hermit crabs, the luminescing squids at the end of the pier at night, the flowers, the iguanas. It is always nice to have room to spread out. And having a washer and dryer was great. We used the guest book to pick restaurants to try. We weren't disappointed. Judith was very nice. We would definitely come back.

We stayed in Villa Dos Loros for 2 weeks in July.
We are - mom, dad, teenage-daughter and my husbands parents.
We all LOVED the house. Right on the beach, beautiful sunsets, really nice pool, beautiful grounds.
The pier where Scuba Mau picked us up when we went Scuba diving, the pelicans, the snorkeling right in front of the house, the 2 lizards, the night heron.
The house itself was really nice, perfect for 2 families that wants/needs a little privacy, the beds are good.
Judith the owner is so nice and always very helpful.
This was the perfect house for our 3 generation vacation, thank you!

My buddies and I dive Cozumel every year as an annual guy's trip. This year we decided to get away from the all-inclusives and rent a condo. Great move.
Villa Dos Loros (A-3) is fantastic -- right on the beach, perfect size, and Judy (the owner) is friendly and super to work with. The Costa Del Sol community is excellent -- quiet, clean, pool, jacuzzi, boat dock, and located down south toward the great dive spots.
After a great day of scuba diving we'd relax in the condo or take a dip in the pool. After dinner we'd sit out and watch the sunset, the occasional boat, and Iggy (we named the biggest iguana who was reliably out every late afternoon). Totally relaxing.
Villa Dos Loros is a single story condo with 3 bedrooms. There were just 3 of us this year, but with five beds could comfortably handle more. The condo had a television with dish coverage (we only turned it on once), movied to watch, wireless internet (we used it every night!), washer and dryer (can pack half as much), and a shower outside to wash off dive gear (or after a dip in pool). It was great to be able to look out at the dock to see if our dive boat was approaching for pick-up. And even better to have the dive boat drop us back off and the within 10 minutes our gear was washed off, drying in the sun, while we were snacking and planning our evening.
Cozumel -- always beautiful. Costa Del Sol -- great location. Villa Dos Loros -- great find; perfect spot to stay.

We had a great time. Spectacular view, great pool and having the boat pier there is a super plus if you dive, i.e., most of the boat dive charters leave from the city and travel past this location. In the end you save a 45 minute boat ride each way by having them pick you up here. Super private...I think 3-4 homes out of 15-20 had people staying in them. The 24-7 gated community is big plus as is the covered parking. We really liked the remote location yet it is super easy to travel into town to dine or buy groceries. The Mega Grocery store is very good so you won't be missing much from that perspective if you come from the states. Internet is accessble, just bring your laptop and they also have satellite TV. Owner was super hospitable and flexible; she met us there and walked us through the house, then she left us alone! We are definitely going back.

Me and my husband took our grown kids to Cozumel for Christmas instead of gifts for 2011. We had an amazing time and the house we rented was spectacular. It was on the beach and we could walk out the door and see the ocean and hear the waves.....it was amazing! This house was so comfortable and homey to my family. I was impressed with the response to our needs when the stove went "dead". There were a few times when we needed assistance with the house but someone was there at a very timely response. I would definitely rent this property and recommend to others. We were very happy and excited to be at this property because the pier was easy access to the pick up for our boat tours throughout the week. It was very comfortable and I am looking forward to renting again in the future.

Just wanted to say my wife, Three daughters(teens),and I, had a wonderful stay at Costa Del Sol.I would suggest it for anyone.The house was very efficient and had every thing we needed and extra beach towels. The girls loved the Pool and beach.The owner,Judith met with us the first day,told us about all the great places to go. We had cook service come in one night and they cooked us Lobster and seafood fit for a king.This beach front condo has the greatest sunsets and the night breezes are unreal. We will be back again Judith! Thank you for all your hospitality.
