My wife & I and another couple stayed at the Beachouse Lodge the week of April 14, 2011. We stayed in the Redfish suite and our friends stayed in the Tarpon penthouse. We cooked out on the lodges' grill, kept our boat moored right behind the lodge, fished 5/6 days and generally had a blast. The fishing was good, bait was plentiful (including right at the dock some days). The kitchens are well stocked and clean, easy to use and the condos are spacious and comfortable. The owners are easy to work with and the on site manager is available and very friendly and helpful. We didn't see anything else with the view and location of the Beachouse. The wind blew a little while we were there and the location of this facility made it easy to fish either side of Pine Island and stay out of the weather. It's an easy run to the world famous Cabbge Key (west) from the Beachouse dock. We met friends in Matlache (east). The Boca Grande inlet is a 10 minute boat ride and if it really turns bad the inlet to Jug creek is about 150 yards away. What else could you ask for? We'll be back!!

What a pleasure it has been to get away to our own private beach house. We didn't feel like leaving- the gulf waters lapping, the beautiful view, sunrises and sunsets! We were delighted at the osprey who made a nest in a nearby pine. We watched them feed their chicks and build the nest. Four dolphin made a surprise visit and we saw plenty of rays! The Penthouse is spacious with beautiful 360 degree views! We are looking forward to exploring more of this lovely island and its friendly people

A totally relaxing weekend with friends and great fishing.

We went to the Beachouse with 3 other couples.Had a great day fishing for the guys and sunbathing and reading for the girls. The boys caught fish with a guide who picked them up at the dock out front. That night we took the fish to the Lazy Flamingo a few blocks away where they cooked the fish and packaged the dinners with fries and slaw. We brought the dinners back to the Beachouse and ate fish and drank wine under the tiki hut right on the water. Slept like babies in comfortable beds listening to the waters lap on the shore.Highly recommended. Other good restaurants nearby too.Despite cooking facilities on premesis don't bother!

we had a nice stay. but we were not informed about the canal dockage that was available to use.. would recomend keeping your boat there rather than at the end of the 260' long pier as durning a winter storm our boat sank due to the heavy seas. not their fault but would have moved to the more protected canal dockage had we know about it.. always ask... Having stayed at several VRBO homes in the last several years.. making a note to others that stay here .. nothing is in the refigator at all usually we have noted mayo, mustard, ect from one renter to another. Bring all items food wise, alumiun foil, zip lock bags and luandry detergent ect as nothing like that is available here. rooms were very clean and beds ok as they did have a 2" mattress pad to put over the current mattress. plenty of room nice and quiet. GREAT VIEW! NO BUGS AT ALL. Owner showed up and was staying in the penthouse suite. Sally the person running the place was very nice and helpful. We rented the Snook apt on the 2nd floor. We would stay again and even the next door neighbor came over to help try to move the boat to his beach when it became sure that the boat was sinking and we could only beach it to save it.. We saw the penthouse before leaving at it would be worth the extra to rent it. The stairs can be a bit rough on the knees and the place is not handicap friendly.
