True Villa in the Sky!

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying here for a week and it was amazing! We have stayed in many vacation homes but none share the same elegance as this Villa. The view is absolutely gorgeous and was probably my favorite parts of the property. When we got home I looked through our pictures and found most revolved around the views from the living room. The aesthetics of the home are amazing as well, it really feels like a California dream home with lots of space and open windows. My husband found a couch that he loved to take cat naps in during our down time. The location of the home was great too! We didn't have to deal with heavy traffic and could be secluded but also weren't far from Hollywood and Downtown. Overall I couldn't have asked for more from a vacation home, it truly was gorgeous and I would highly recommend this spot.

Stunning Views, Incredible House, A MUST DO

From the first conversation with Josh, the property manager, you could get the sense that this whole process would be simple and stress free. He was extremely friendly, always available to answer questions, and very accommodating.
When we first arrived at the house we were blown away. Pictures can't quite grasp the beauty and intricate details of the decor found throughout the house. Each room is riddled with jaw dropping pleasant surprises. From medieval swords and armor suits to old school Hollywood paintings this house is seriously something from a movie. We joked that Harry Houdini would have loved to live here.
If you rent this house during a concert at the Hollywood Bowl, you can also probably catch a free show as the top of the hill behind the house overlooks this venue.
The proximity to the Sunset Strip and major sites is perfect. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing weekend. You won't be disappointed.

We combined two of these Hollywood Hills homes for an excellent family luxury compound. Stunning views and centrally located for easy access to many top LA destinations. Strongly recommend for unique travel experience.

Stunning and Inspirational

This home was absolutely delightful. It is artistically designed and very inspirational. I was able to escape the hustle and bustle of LA anytime of day to bathe in the heated pool and spa, cook in the wonderful kitchen, or have any service I can imagine brought right to my door. Oh how I love Los Angeles, and even more so when I stay at the Villa in the Sky. I will return. Hopefully soon!

Paradise!

During my stay I was delighted that me and my friends could enjoy all that Los Angeles had to offer while being hidden right above the hustle and bustle in paradise. The pool was amazing, the views were more than one could wish for, and the creative ambiance was breathtaking. I will visit this home again when I have the chance to return to LA.

Great property, we will be back again!

My wife and I along with our two teenaged girls stayed at the Villa, and had one of the best vacations of our lives. I was a little nervous renting a property sight unseen based on photographs on a website, but when we arrived were were pleasantly surprised, the house was even better than the pictures. I have meetings in LA about twice per year, and this will be were we stay from here on out. Our girls loved the hot tub and pool, and we loved the location...its right up in the Hills above the restaurants and nightlife of Sunset Strip. The property itself is amazing, there is a ton of detail in the furnishings, and the decor is beautiful. Thanks for a great experience!

Incredible Views!

The Villa was beautiful, the photos were very accurate. My wife and I stayed for one week with our five children. The kids loved the pool, and especially the elevator! The house is four stories, so the elevator was very useful when bringing in groceries and suitcases. At night, the views are even better, you are looking out over a sea of lights which stretch for many miles.
The decorating was impeccable, with many beautiful pieces throughout the property. My only concern was that one of the children would damage an item, but thankfully this did not happen. There were plenty of towels, bed linens, etc. The property was very clean and well maintained.
The location: if you are looking to be within a mile or so of the action, while still being able to leave the action to go home to a quiet setting, this property is perfect for you. It is a short drive down the hill to Hollywood Boulevard, Santa Monica Blvd, and Sunset. If it were only my wife and me, we could actually have walked instead.
You are also very close (less than a mile) from the Hollywood Bowl, and it is a very short drive (about 3 miles) to Universal Studios and Griffith Observatory. It is close enough to Santa Monica that we actually went to the beach and the pier twice. Traffic can be an issue on the freeways, but if you are mindful of the time of day, it is not as bad as you hear (for those who have never been to Los Angeles).
Josh showed us the property thoroughly, and then, most importantly, left us alone. We have had the misfortune before of staying at properties where the owner lives very close by, and is constantly coming onto the property to "check up" on things. This was not a problem with Josh, who manages several properties. He was very quick to respond to a couple of emails I sent him, but he did not "hover" and we never felt we were being scrutinized.
I would recommend this property to people looking for a newer property, who want to be close to the activities, while still being able to get away when you have had your fill of the action for the day.

Nightmare In The Sky

House was beyond filthy. Owner was not compliant. I have 24 pages of photos that I would be happy to send you of the condition in which I found upon arrival. Was not even livable - I stayed one hour to take photos of this horrific nightmare and still have not gotten money back.
Owner's Response: First of all, we believe it is important to note that this review was not written by the person who was in our house, but instead by an employee located halfway across the country. That being said, we made several attempts to remedy the complaints. We have never heard these complaints in fourteen years of home rental. We have a professional cleaning staff of five who service the property prior to each tenants arrival. I guess as the old adage says you can't please everyone all the time, and the only solution this tenant would accept was a full refund the day after she arrived. Nothing we could offer as far as additional free professional cleaning services or maintanance seemed to console her irregular requests. We go to lengths to keep our tenants happy, and it was certainly a nightmare that there was nothing we could do to please her.
