Couples Retreat a Success

This cozy cottage has allowed my friends and I to get away from the city for a weekend to relax and spend some time away from the busy-ness of work and the city. I really enjoyed my stay here and have already considered renting again yearly. The owners have made the transaction of renting very easy and have equipped this home away from home extremely well.

Our 2012 Grand Bend Vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay at the Shoreline house. It is just a short walk (2 minutes) to Grand Bend's beautiful "back" beach. The house is extremely well-equipped - a kitchen fully stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware and a dishwasher. The house was roomy and comfortably accommodated our family (ages 1 to 85). We walked and jogged throughout the lovely Southcott Pines community. The owners are gracious and caring hosts who made our vacation worry-free.
Owner's Response: Tlhank you for the very kind comments. We do strive to have a clean and comfortable cottage to make it a 'home away from home'. Grand Bend is a great vacation spot - and hope to see you next year.

Great vacation spot!

Seven adults and one toddler had a great week at this well equipped cottage. It was clean and well-maintained as well as having plenty of space inside and out. The covered front verandah was like having an extra room!
We loved being super close to a beach and the location was within walking distance to downtown, restaurants, stores etc.
The owners were wonderful and we would certainly recommend this cottage to anyone.

Awesome location!!

My wife and I just finished spending one week at this cottage. We both thoroughly enjoyed our break from reality there. The friendly owners made the booking experience a positive one. Very quickly the cottage felt like 'home'. The many amenities that are provided both in and outside the cottage are a definite plus. The family and friends that we entertained during the week were also quite impressed with this property.
The cottage is located within short walking distance of a long sandy beach which we walked along several times. Due to the many sandbars, swimmers can wade out a long distance in Lake Huron. The sunsets were gorgeous and different each evening.
We also enjoyed our walks through the heavily treed Southcott Pines subdivision which contains a wide variety of dwellings. We both noted that the area is quite quiet and peaceful. If you want some noise and excitement, you can walk uptown via the harbour.
We would definitely recommend booking this cottage. In fact, I booked it for another week next year before writing this review..

This cottage is in Southcott Pines in Grand Bend and has all the amenities of home. Great access to the public beach (about a minute walk around the corner) or Sun Beach, one of the private beaches for residents or guests of Southcott Pines (about a four minute walk but really private). The cottage is comfortable and spacious with a three outdoor seating/eating areas. Lots of birds to watch and listen to. The cottage set-up is also very organized with multiple seating areas which always someone to read and another person to watch tv without getting in each other's way.
The owner was lovely to deal with and made things easy for us.
Great location as you have privacy and quiet at the cottage but when you want something more lively, you can walk or drive to Main Street.
Our family had a great week here and we highly recommend it.

Six ladies enjoyed a great weekend in this beautiful home in late June. The owners were wonderful to deal with and the location was just perfect. Our weather was a bit disappointing, but the bike riding and eating were fantastic. We tried Hot Yoga at the local Yoga Studio and had a great experience. 90 minutes of yoga in 104 degrees! It was very cleansing and the instructor was superb. Bring bikes, for sure and enjoy the beaches! Too cloudy for sunsets, which was disappointing but overall this was a great home to rent!
