Definitely recommend the shack!

We stayed at the salty shack for two nights during the memorial day weekend, and our experience was amazing. Luckily the weather cooperated the whole time, so we were able to properly enjoy our small vacation. The house is walking distance to the 'Keyes' beach, and close to a few other beaches. Craigville beach was the only other beach that we went to and, along with Keyes, it was a quiet (in a good way) and fun beach. The house is also walking distance to the Hyannis Main St which has a decent collection of shops, restaurants, bars, etc.
The house, itself, has four bedrooms (one king, and the other three I believe are queen). The living area and kitchen were big enough for our group of 10 to comfortably hang out and do a home-cooked dinner at night. They have a few TVs in the house as well as a great collection of movies. The couches in the living room were nice as well. The house was accommodating enough where I hardly felt like the 10 of us were in each other's way as far using bathrooms, kitchen, living room, etc during our stay.
The owner (Scott) and the property manager (Margaret) were both very nice and helpful throughout the whole process. They told us that we were the first people to occupy the house this year, and possibly because of that, there were a few minor issues (i.e. hot water was turned on yet, WiFi was not quite working, etc). They both gave us proper attention and help in taking care of these things though as soon as we found them, and I didn't have any complaints on the service end.
The deposit was refunded promptly after our stay. I received my money back on my card within a week or leaving the place. I am giving this place four stars because the WiFi never ended up working and it was a small complaint from a few people in my group. Other than that our experience was near-perfect. Strongly recommended!

Owner's Response: We're glad you had a great time. The Wifi was down because the router was bad. Unfortunately we could not get Comcast Cable there before your short 2 night stay. But it has been fixed as they replaced the router. So we're up and running and at 5 star strength!

What A Great Location!

Brought my family to Hyannis for the weekend and really enjoyed this rental. The location can't be beat, you can literally walk everywhere. We would have liked it more if we rented it in the summer and could really enjoy the beach because it's only a few blocks away.
The furnishings are top notch, they have 2 leather sofa's, beautiful dinning room furniture and a huge kitchen area. The bar in the kitchen was great as the kids could eat breakfast while I caught up on the news in the morning.
The master bedroom is large and has a nice king size bed and large plasma TV (not sure of the size but it was pretty big).
The owner emailed me back within minutes, answered all my questions and refunded our security deposit immediately.
I would recommend this to anyone with a family that likes to walk and not have to worry about piling kids in the car and try and find parking.

This House Has Everything!

Our family stayed here over Easter and we had a great time! The owner, Scott, had a quick response time and he made the booking process really easy and painless. The property manager, Margaret, met us at the house and walked us through to make sure we had the lay of the land - made us feel at home. She noted that the carpeting on the stairs was brand new and they had just installed a new washer/dryer. I wasn't planning on doing laundry but you never know!
The house is very clean and comfortable, the kitchen is a great size and stocked with a lot of appliances. The living/dining room is right off of the kitchen and the open-plan layout makes it easy to hang out with everyone. We made use of their DVD library and the guys enjoyed watching baseball on the big screen tv. The four bedrooms are split - 2 on the 2nd floor and 2 on the 1st with a bathroom on each floor. Each bedroom has it's own tv.
The house is so close to Main St and we enjoyed wandering up and down and checking out the different stores and restaurants. We walked down to the nearest beach, Sea St, and dipped our toes in the cold ocean.
All in all it was a great Easter weekend and being near the ocean got us excited for summer. I can only imagine how fun Hyannis is when the season is really swinging!

Owner's Response: Book your summer rental now folks as the Cape is booking up fast this year. In March 2012 we replaced the washer/dryer with new energy efficient models. We also put down new carpeting on the stairs and the remainder of the house has hardwood floors. The kitchen was totally replaced and upgraded in 2010 with granite counter tops, new cabinets and a breakfast bar with 4 bar stools. This makes family dinning or a children's area very easy for parents. We have a library of over 50 DVD movies you can watch as well as Hi-Def plasma TV's. The location is simply amazing as it's a 4 minute walk to Seat Street beach, 10 minute walk to Main St. Hyannis (Sea St is off Main St) or a short 8 minute bike ride to Craigsville Beach :)

Absolutely Fantastic

We love to come to the Cape after the tourists leave and spend some quality time. Our family loved the house and especially loved all the amenities. The house comes stocked with everything you can imagine.
You absolutely can't beat the location as it's very close to the beach. Our kids made the walk in under 6 minutes.
The rooms are good size and all have different themes. My son loved the Autograph room as he's a big sports fan.
All and all we'd highly recommend it for families as it has 4 bedrooms.
The owner responds very quickly to emails and follows up super fast.
You absolutely can't beat the location as it's very close to the beach. Our kids made the walk in under 6 minutes.
The rooms are good size and all have different themes. My son loved the Autograph room as he's a big sports fan.
All and all we'd highly recommend it for families as it has 4 bedrooms.

We Love Cape Cod :)

We rented the Salty Shack because of it's location to the beach and the fact that we could walk everywhere. Upon arrival we were greeted by the property manager Margaret (sweet English woman) who is wonderful. She took us through the house and explained how things worked.
The house is very big for a rental. The furniture is modern and looks new, they have two leather sofas for plenty of seating. There's a huge plasma TV in the living room which is great for the family.
We wish we had a kitchen as nice as theirs :) beautiful granite counter tops but our favorite was the breakfast bar seating area.
What surprised us the most was the fact that the house had literally everything you could imagine. They provide all the utensils, towels, sheets, beach chairs etc. so you really don't have to bring anything. And we didn't have to wash any towels or sheets when we left which was a relief.
During our stay we had to call the property manager once because the internet went down but she called the internet company and it was back working within 2 hours. Other than that we loved the house :)
While you're there you must try a couple of restaurants. We loved Embargo and the Brazillian Grill!
