Photos and Description of the Palm Springs vacation condo rental
Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Set behind gated walls with a 24 hour manned gatehouse, Seven Lakes Country Club offers 1960's Palm Springs at its best. The properties are nicely spread out over 120 acres and this property has particularly wonderful views of the dramatic San Jacinto Mountains.

The complex was designed in 1965 by noted Palm Springs architect Ric Harrison, who also designed the Palm Springs airport. Strict controls have insured that the entire complex retains the architectural integrity of its original design.

This unit is more than 2100 square feet in size (the largest floorplan in the complex) and includes 2 bedrooms with a separate den, and 3 full baths. It has been recently and tastefully renovated in a style that offers a true 1960's feel, with art and furniture that is high style yet comfortable. It features a gracious open floor plan with spectacular views from the living room, new terrazzo floors, high ceilings, separate private enclosed courtyard, updated kitchen, separate large dining area, card table, bookcases, and a good sound system. The bedrooms are split for privacy. The separate den has a sitting area for television. Both the guest bedroom and den open out to the private enclosed courtyard, while the master bedroom looks out to the San Jacinto mountains.

Pool and spa are just a short walk away. Use of the Country Club, as well as golf, are available through a case by case arrangement, with renters paying applicable food and bar charges and greens fees. Wonderful views out to mountains from terrace (great dining for lunch or dinner.)

AVAILABLE FOR $4,250 PER MONTH JAN-APR, $2,000 PER MONTH MAY-NOV., AND $2500 DEC.

We were very comfortable in this handsome condo unit. Quite spacious and well-equipped. The owner clearly took great pains to furnish it in period mid-century style and it is very tasteful.

I have now stayed at Dave's Palm Springs house twice, and I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed it! The house itself is nicely updated, yet retains so much of its retro charm. Spacious, with high ceilings, and the most comfortable bed away from home I have ever slept in! The home is literally just steps away from one of the many pools on the property, so it felt as if it was my own private pool. On my first trip, I was not on a diet so I ate at several of the nearby local hot spots, including a wonderful steak house. On my second trip, I was watching my weight so I chose to buy food at the local "Whole Foods" type grocery store. I was pleasantly surprised at how fully-equipped Dave's kitchen is - including razor sharp cutlery. Another big bonus for me was the ease in navigating the city. There is even a Walgreens just down the street for sundries and such. Dave also has a state-of-the-art sound system, and a superb collection of cds from which to choose. I had a fantastic time, and would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to have a fun and relaxing place to stay while away from home.
