Jumping back on HomeAway today to check availability this season for our favorite mountain cabin, and I had to write a review.
I call this place the Four "C"-sons because it's COMFY, COZY, CUTE and CLEAN. (I could add a fifth "C" for CONVENIENT.)
Remodeled with an artistic and cozy/rustic flare, I enjoyed my morning coffee admiring views of the snow as well as tasteful wall color and art selections!
We had the most amazing time here over Spring Break...beds are unbelievably comfy, kitchen and bathrooms are amazing, back deck is perfect for an apres glass of wine...it really feels like home when you are there.
We look forward to staying here again soon!

My family of 5 plus our dog stayed at this vacation home this past Labor Day. David was a pleasure to work with and communicated quickly. The house was roomy and had an eclectic, cozy feel to it. We cooked in the kitchen every night and even took advantage of the nice grill on the deck. My children enjoyed the bathtubs at the end of our long hikes each day.

We have rented several homes over the years and I felt that David's contract was the most reasonable and fair of all I have seen. I appreciated not having to worry about my children or dogs behavior every minute we were in the house. David trusts that you will take care of the place as if it were your own. I was able to relax.

We loved the extras like a dog bed and food bowl, an expresso machine, shared condiments, etc. It was so nice to have paper towels, plastic wrap, and trash bags on location. The washer and dryer was a bonus especially since I did not have to do laundry when I got home.

You will enjoy this home!

We recently stayed at the house for a summer getaway with several of our friends. We loved the house and were so happy with our stay. Here are a few things you should know:

-If you're looking for a private cabin in the woods, far away from civilization, look elsewhere. Although the neighborhood is quiet (during the summer, most of the other vacation rentals seemed vacant), the next door neighbors have young children so you may hear them playing in the days and evenings. This place is great if you need the space and privacy of a house but also want the convenience of having the Village nearby. As a group of 5 adults with two dogs, we wanted to avoid driving as much as possible. This was perfect.

-The house is tastefully decorated with a subtle retro themes. You can expect to find Star Wars Monopoly, great photo books, fanboy comic books, a record player with an eclectic mix of vintage music, framed vintage synthesizer records, Xbox, etc. If none of these things appeal to you, then maybe you'll love the fancy kitchen appliances.

-We did get a lot of use out of the kitchen. It's stocked with pretty much anything you'd need to make meals for a family. We brought our our condiments and herbs and spices, shopped for food, and made most meals at the house. However, some essentials were already in the fridge.

-David, the manager was very easy to deal with.

-If you or anyone in your group smokes, you'll need to take a walk. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property.

We really enjoyed our vacation and look forward to returning! Thanks David!

This was the perfect cottage for my family of four and nanny. We had all the necessary utensils for making meals and then some, the beds were comfortable... The owner was spectacular, great communication and a great deal for this spacious cottage...It was a short walk to the Gondola, even with a four year old. I can't say enough except that I will definitely be returning.

Our family stayed at Pinecrest Cottage in Mammoth Lakes this summer. The property was in nice repair, just as the pictures show. It's a charming spot, within walking distance to the Village, and the management/owner was pleasant and easy to work with. Recommend!

I spent 12 wondrous days in this "cabin" (actually a roomy 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath home) in early October. On warm, sunny days I read and emailed on the deck. I hiked the nearby trails (one begins at the end of the block--how convenient is that?), prepared most of my meals in the fully-equipped modern kitchen; but walked to some favorite restaurants (such as Angel's) for dinner with the locals. I was there for the first snowfall and cozied up to the fireplace with a cup of tea and a good book. The cabin is impeccably maintained. Everything--paint, furniture, linens, appliances--looks fresh and new. Even the neighbors were great. Can't wait to return. When I do, ski season will be underway, and the walk to the lifts is just a few short blocks.
