About Christine, North End Apartment LLC

I am a composer and graphic designer living in the Boston area. I grew up in Harvard, Massachusetts and went to MIT for college, living in this apartment for the last two years of school.

Christine, North End Apartment LLC purchased this condo in 2000
Why Christine, North End Apartment LLC chose Boston

Having lived in the apartment, I can attest to the fabulous location! The only drawback was parking (and I highly recommend NOT having a car during your vacation to Boston), but when I lived there with a car and had to move it every morning at 7 am, it was amazing to walk through the streets of the North End and smell the garlic cooking :) It's on the edge of the North End, near the Waterfront. The roofdeck has a view of the whole city and harbor, and a block from the apartment is a beautiful park that spans the harbor. 10 minute walk to downtown's shops and attractions. And actually ON the Freedom Trail, which is a line through the city that brings you to all of the historical destinations from Bunker Hill to Paul Revere's house, old cemeteries and churches.

What makes this condo unique

The apartment is small and cozy (it is a studio after all!) but has everything you need to be self-sufficient on your vacation. It is in the basement of a 12 unit building, and actually I bought it because it reminded me of a wine cellar! When I lived there, I used to have dinner parties and with the shades up, passers-by would ask if we 'were open' or could they make reservations! Room only for 2, but for 2 it is a perfect getaway in a lovely part of the city.

This is a great place to stay in Boston. Clean and exactly as described. The owner was so nice and great to work with. This place is close to many restaurants and within walking distance to the subway. It's a very nice neighborhood with a laundromat nearby and a nice convenience store with groceries and misc. supplies. Can't wait to come back!!

Let me preface this review by stating we arrived the day after the Boston Marathon/Bombing. We were in contact with Christine several times and were assured the area was safe and it was. The space is immaculate, comfortable and charming. The apt is in a perfect location if you like to eat and like to explore. There are no less than 50 restaurants within a 5 min walk and you are literally on the freedom trail. Faneuil Hall and Quincy market are maybe a 7 min walk up the street. Don't bother making breakfast or coffee as My Cousins Place just out the door on Hanover can't be beat. For oysters and Italian combined under one roof for a reasonable price go to Rabia's (just 2 doors down from the overcrowded overpriced Neptune} and for beer and sports The Waterfront Grille around the corner on Commercial St. There was a time that week that got a little scary and Christine responded to our concerns even though she was in Italy giving us her Mother's phone if we wanted to leave early...we are glad we stayed and would again any time we are in Boston..as the review says Book it Now...you wont be sorry. Parking is an issue but we were made aware of this prior so will not include as a negative in this review. The lots on Commercial are 30.00 for 24 hrs and safe.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this cosy apartment. It was our first experience with Homeaway. We were happy with all parts of our experience. The location for us was perfect ,the suggestions from the owner were helpful, the bed was great, the kitchen was well stocked with anything you might need and the area has such great food in all the local resturants. We love to walk so you have plenty to see,the harbor,Fanual Hall, The Boston Garden for Sports events and everything else Boston offers within a good walk or Mass. Transit.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this apartment. Everything was as described and the owner was very quick to respond to any of my questions. The location was convenient to restaurants, shops, etc.

We loved the quality of the linens on the bed and the big fluffy towels. The mattress was very comfortable.

I would highly recommend this apartment, and will consider it for my next trip to Boston.

Great Apartment in Great Neighbourhood

We had no idea where to stay when in Boston and chose this place last minute. To our surprise it was one of the best places we've stayed on our travels!

The apartment is a cosy little basement apartment with plenty of room for two. The bed is really comfortable and the linen and towels are not cheap crap. The kitchen is well stocked with cups, glasses, plates, pots, pans, cutlery and everything else you’d need. The heaters worked really well and covered the whole apartment. The cable TV had plenty of channels (not that we used it much) and the internet worked very well. The apartment was also was very clean.

But the best part was the location. The North End is a little location tucked away above downtown with cool little streets and plenty of great restaurants. A few of these restaurants had line ups-out the door every night.

Christine was a fantastic host too. She was extremely helpful to accommodate our early arrival and gave us a good rundown of the north end with a number of good suggestions of good restaurants and things to try in the area.

The best endorsement we can give of the apartment is that when we come back (which we hope is soon) we will definitely stay in this apartment.

My friend and I met in Boston for the weekend and decided to rent this studio. It was a WONDERFUL decision as the place is absolutely adorable and Christine was extremely easy to work with. The apt was nice and clean (and in a great area of Boston where we walked almost everywhere)! I would highly recommend this apt.

I took my mother to Boston for a quick 4-day trip and we stayed here for three nights. It couldn't have worked out better for us. The apartment is even nicer than it looks in the photos and there is plenty of room for two. The linens, towels and dishes were top quality- the bed was very comfortable. And it was immaculate! We were so busy we never really got a chance to capitalize on the great kitchen and top notch appliances. Christine was great about letting us stow our luggage since we got in earlier and left later than the checkout times. The north end is a treasure trove of restaurants and Boston history. This place is within an easy walk of many of the main landmarks and attractions - I would definitely stay here again!

My son and I traveled to Boston to tour colleges in the area and take in some sightseeing while there. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this studio apartment in the Historic North End. The apartment was perfectly clean and well lit, and the bed was comfortable and the owner provided an air mattress for my son. The amenity of a small flat screen TV and cable service was a bonus after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The owner was highly responsive to our questions and provided information as needed throughout the weekend. All the attractions of the North End are an easy walking distance, and public transportation is minutes away for easy to wherever you are going in the city. We enjoyed a variety of excellent restaurants in Little Italy which is just around the corner from the apartment. We always felt safe walking and found our way around the city quite easily. I would definitely recommend this apartment to my family and friends as an ideal place to stay while in Boston.
