Beautiful getaway, breathtaking view
Five of us (myself and wife, and 3 boys) stayed in this beautiful, clean, well-kept cottage for a couple days in early June. We were blown away by the views of the Atlantic and the Cliffs of Moher. We were able to grab some groceries in Ennistymon, and then utilize the well-supplied kitchen, which seemed to have everything we needed, to prepare a few of our meals. With wellies in the closet, we could hike to the edge of the cliffs and take in the view, the sea birds, and the peacefulness.
The decor is fabulous, and you feel you're in a historical place, back in time, when you're there, while still having modern amenities. If you're looking for a place to relax (great library in the house including maps and guides of the area; chess; and great fireplace), or a base from which to do some sightseeing, this is the place for you. We made a day trip to the Cliffs of Moher visitors center, another trip to the Burren, which is an easy drive from the property, and an evening in Doolin for traditional music (about 2-3 miles away). We also appreciated how close this was to Shannon Airport (hour) so we could relax soon after the flight from the States.
The customer service was great, and we had help down the street if we had needed anything. This cottage was everything and more than advertised, and I'm hoping we can go back sometime soon with my brother and sister!
