Cabin, 1 Bedroom + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-6)

This cozy bungalow is the perfect relaxing get away from your hectic life. It has every comfort of home in a compact and efficient lay out. Camp out by the lake in luxury. Sooth your stresses away in the huge hot tub with a glass of bubbly. The hot tub is a symphony for the senses with multi-colored lights, stereo system and 6 separate seating stations that you control for your own personal comfort.

High ceilings offer a loft area perfect for the kids! The 16' X 16' covered deck increases the living space and allows you to enjoy the spectacular lake view. If you want to get up close to the water you can go out to the boat dock and feed the catfish. This is a bird watcher's paradise. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to come when the migrating pelicans are here.

Fishermen can make your wives happy. Come home to tell your fish stories to a relaxed lady soaking in the hot tub! She won't care how long you were gone!

Property is on the premises of a Bed & Breakfast. Duck Inn Lake Palestine. I do live at the B & B so I can help you with any problems or questions. I don't charge a cleaning fee.

About The Owner

I purchased a Bed & Breakfast on Lake Palestine in 2005. It was always my dream to live on the lake and it provided me with the opportunity to not only live my dream but to share it with others. Life can deal you stress, but I only have to glance up at my lake to feel comfort! I have lived in the Tyler area my whole life and now thanks to my home I feel like I am still in my home town yet on vacation.

What makes this cabin unique

You will enjoy the spectacular sunrise and the calming views of the lake. Although you will be out in a country setting, you can get to town in 20 short minutes. Even if you choose to stay on the property, you can get almost anything you need within 5 miles. You choose what you want to do, fish off the dock, read, rent jet skis. Don't come if you are not ready to relax!

Everything was great, went beyond what we were expecting. Very peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend Duck Inn to anyone wanting to get away from it all.

Perfect little get away

If you live in Dallas or Houston, and are looking for a nearby get away to relax, this is the place for you. The lake view is great and of course the hot tub adds a nice perk as well. There is also a swing on the porch and a hammock in the yard. The closest large town is Tyler, about a 20 min drive, so you may want to pack your own food. I would say 4 people would be the max here as it is quite cozy and utilizes every square inch. It's perfect for a couple or small family. We also had our pets and they loved it as well.

My husband and I stayed in the Bungalow and The Safari Room at the Duck Inn. The Bungalow is perfect for up to six people. Everything was clean and in excellent working condition. We just loved the porch swing and the porch was so peaceful looking out at the lake. It had everything you needed in the kitchen and also a washer and dryer which was nice. The Safari Room was decorated nicely and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Ann has a wonderful little haven on Lake Palestine. If you get a chance, you should stay a night or two. If you like BBQ, go to the Purple Pig just down the road. The desserts are pretty yummy too. Tyler is only a short drive and a Canton Trade Day Weekend is perfect for the location of this Inn. Enjoy... we did. Can't wait to come again. Thanks Ann

Clean, Perfect Location

First of all, the cabin is extremely clean, hot tub included. Everything you could need is there: plates, silverware, washer/dryer, extra sets of clean sheets, etc. The owner is very nice and accommodating. Tyler is just a quick 20 minute drive away, but the cabin is in a perfect, serene location. We went to the zipline tour nearby and loved it. Tyler State Park was also beautiful, especially for hikers/bikers. It was a great place to relax and I would easily recommend this place to everyone.

Relaxing Getaway

My family & I had a wonderful, relaxing time staying in this Cozy Lakeside Bungelow. Our mornings were spent sipping coffee on the deck overlooking the lake while watching my 2 year old son play in the leaves. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus. The place was well kept & a handy distance to both Tyler & Palestine. This worked out well for us as we planned to go to the Tyler zoo & the Texas State Railway in Palestine. Both of which our son enjoyed tremendously! I would stay here again & recommend it to young families.
