Our favorite place, and we've been around
This is our 5th visit to Costa Rica, and we've stayed in at least 10 different places. Although we have been to Flamingo Beach before, and loved it, we had not stayed here. What a treat! Highlights: incredible views (which is not the case for all the units there), right on a beautiful beach, stand-up paddle boards to use whenever you want, infinity edge pool, super nice staff, immaculate grounds, modern furnishings and appliances, walking distance to restaurants, quiet. Of all the places where we have stayed, this is one where we will be coming back for sure, maybe with the kids!
The owner gave us all the info we needed, and even sent us a hand written thank you after. I'd recommend this place for sure.

A little slice of paradise.
All the comments are true - Elyne's place is awesome! Everything is very high end and well maintained. The unit had everything needed; kitchen well stocked, plenty of linens, board games, great entertainment system. (athough I do agree the couches are not the most comfortable - but we did spend most of the days outside, so not really an issue). The Palms resort itself is extremely clean and very safe with gated entrance and security on the grounds.
The staff were superb. Jorge went above and beyond the call getting us to The Palms and helping us with our car rental and giving us the inside scoop of where to shop for groceries and where to eat. Roy was so great: his drinks were delicious and his cooking is first rate. Highly recommend having him cook a meal for guests. He had the answers to every single question we came up with and was very patient with any inquiry we had. He was also always willing to help set us up with tours and give recommendations to nearby restaurants. And he was true to his word - cocktails at 5 rain or shine!
Finally, I cannot say enough about Elyne's organization. Her email response time is most impressive and again was very thorough in answering any question I had.
From beginning to end, this was absolutely a five star stay at a five star place on the beach.
The pictures do not do the setting justice. Easily the nicest place for miles around. We could not have asked for a better family vacation and introduction to Costa Rica. Book this unit, you will not be disappointed!

Loved the set up at Elyne's place on Flamingo Beach!! Jorge met us as we arrived and made sure were were off and running. Sarah, Roy, Massel and the staff at the Palms were wonderful. We enjoyed a dinner on the Beach served by Roy as well as several wonderful meals at neighboring restaurants including Marysol and Carlos Y Carlos. The accomodations were comfortable and clean. Nancy did a great job cleaning our place everyday as she had to do the dishes as well since the dishwasher wasn't working. Lovedthe pool and Ocean!! Massel kept our drinks full and the people of Costa Rica are incredible!! Love this place and look forward to returning!!

What a wonderful place to stay. Beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The staff is wonderful. Roy is a real jewel. There are plenty of water toys for your use. The ocean is right there as well as a beautiful pool. Working with the owner was very easy. Pick this place for your next trip. You will love it.

Excellent complex!
The Palms is a wonderful complex--the pool is great, the grounds are beautiful, and the food is great! We had dinner by the beach cooked by Roy, the on-site chef. The way it is set up is beautiful.
The kitchen in the condo has everything--even an electric tea kettle, but the living room couches may be the most uncomfortable couches I have ever been on--including my college futon! Everything else was nice---I even used the spa tub.
This was my first time to Playa Flamingo. We didn't have a car. If we return, we will definitely get one. There is a quickie mart in walking distance, but a real grocery store is a drive away. Plus, some of the restaurants in town aren't very far, but there aren't any sidewalks so it can make walking difficult.

Perfect New Years in Playa Flamingo
We stayed here with our three teenage daughters and had an absolutely wonderful time. Everyone at the Palms was extra helpful and treated us like honored guests and old friends at the same time. The Villa was gorgeous and the beach turned out to be the most beautiful one in the area, as far as we were concerned. We rented a van and explored nearby beaches (surf lessons at Playa Grande were a highlight), did some zip-lining in the rainforest (white-face and howler monkeys included), and explored an old volcano at Rincon de la Vieja. When we weren't getting to know the area we were swimming in the ocean or in the pool at the very private feeling Palms. Roy and his wonderful crew made an absolutely magical evening on New Years Eve: dinner by the ocean while people sent Sky Lanterns up from the beach, followed by an amazing fireworks show down the beach at midnight. In short - we loved it!

Absolutely amazing honeymoon accommodations
We stayed in #7 and had a wonderful experience at the Palms. I did an incredible amount of research trying to find the ultimate location (e.g. on the ocean, amazing pool, incredible sunsets and lots of options in close proximity) and utmost in service (or really to just be 'taken care of'!). We found EXACTLY that. From the moment I contacted Elyne (and received immediate response), to the 'welcome drink' and welcome flowers (wow!), to the stocked fridge, and the amazing meals by Roy; we were so impressed. This place is absolute paradise. The condo is very nicely decorated, 'up to date', shower has two heads, wide patios on both floors face the infinity pool and ocean, housekeeping was impeccable (and I'm fussy) and we had fresh towels every morning on our patio chairs for the pool. The infinity pool itself is only steps away from your condo. You really feel like this is yours. Jorge and Roy and all the staff here are wonderful. They will help you book a trip, rent a car, make a meal, or simply let you enjoy your time by the pool in wonderful peacefulness. You need to order the chips, guacamole and ceviche. We are very good judge on chips/guac and ordered every day!! We decided to rent a car and so enjoyed the area for a few days, but we also walked to restaurants nearby. We did horseback riding and a Palo Verde tour, with a stop in a small village - Guital, for pottery (highly recommend Palo Verde). Can't say enough positive things. Thank you Elyne for sharing your place with us. We are missing hearing the ocean every evening and can't wait to go back!

Best Vacation Ever
My family and I have traveled to Costa Rica a number of times and stayed in different areas and properties. The Palms and this unit far exceeded our expectations and offered one of the best vacation experiences we have had, period. The property and the individual unit have been developed with the most incredible taste and attention to every little detail. Number 7 smells like beautiful wood - the wood detailing in the master bedroom is just amazing. The master bathroom to die for. The kitchen is for a professional cook and as someone who enjoys it found the appliances incredible. The unit feels peaceful- we just didn't want to leave. The infinity pool overlooking the beach on the property is amazing. Roy, the general manager/chef, cooks food to die for. All of the staff were attentive and kind. The use of boogie boards and kayaks available for guests was much appreciated. My children said it was the best vacation they have ever had and I agree. I already am working on locking in next year. We are definitely going back! It has been a month and I miss it!

Best Vacation, EVER!
Our family of 5, two adults and 3 boys aged 16, 14, and 11 had a absolutely wonderful time at The Palms #7. The villa and grounds are even better than the pictures! The property is located at the quiet end of Playa Flamingo, and we had the amazing white sand beach almost to ourselves all week. The finishes in the condo are top notch, everything was sparkling clean! We loved the balcony off the master and enjoyed coffee there every morning as we gazed out onto the beautiful grounds and ocean. The pool was super clean and the gardens were wonderful. The ocean conditions were amazing during our stay. The waves were larger when we arrived, so we were able to use the complimentary boogie boards, which the boys loved. By the end of the week, the waves had died down, and we snorkeled at the south end of the beach and saw lots of fish and an eel. We also took out the complimentary kayaks, and enjoyed an amazing view of the beach from the bay.
One of the best things about this location is the amazing staff at The Palms. Maselle and Roy are available at the pool to order delicious food and drinks during the day. Every evening they will make the most amazing cocktails at sunset, passion fruit or blackberry martinis, passion fruit mohitos, margaritas, to name a few. It was fun to gather with the few other guests that were staying at The Palms and talk about our adventures of the day. Roy can also help with reservations, booking excursions, and arranging local transportation to restaurants. The security staff and grounds crew are always around making sure the property is in tip top shape, and we felt very safe during our stay.
Elyne was great to deal with and our arrival to the property was a breeze. We will definitely be back, and want to thank Elyne and Joan for sharing this amazing slice of paradise with us. Pura Vida!

Amazing Stay at The Palms
We just returned from a fantastic stay at The Palms. The photos, while beautiful, do not do the rental justice - it's hard to imagine, but it's actually better. We have rented many homes over the past 10 years and this condo tops the list. My husband and I and our girls (ages 8 and 6) loved everything about our stay here - from the gorgeous views of the Pacific, the amazing infinity pool, Roy, the concierge, bartender and chef extraordinaire (I highly recommend the frozen mojito!!), beautiful Playa Flamingo - one of the prettiest beaches around, the gorgeous grounds, the hard-working and courteous maintenance staff, the fully-equipped kitchen, the comfortable beds, the flat screen tvs, the balcony and the porch - perfect spots to enjoy the amazing sunsets - everything was perfect. The service and the staff were top notch, from the fresh flowers throughout the unit when we arrived to the daily maid service (my girls loved the different creations the housekeeper made with their blankies and stuffed animals :)). In addition, the location is central to every type of activity. Elyne was very professional and helpful - any questions I had were answered quickly. I would highly recommend this property to a friend. Thank you Elyne, for sharing your beautiful home with us - we hope someday to return.
