If you're visiting Missoula, we'd love for you to consider staying in our guest house. It's a newly remodeled, vintage 1940s cottage in Missoula's desirable Rattlesnake neighborhood and it is absolutely charming!
This classic bungalow Cottage is quintessential Missoula. Located in the Lower Rattlesnake, one of Missoula’s most popular neighborhoods, the Cottage is just 2 ½ blocks to both Greenough Park and Mt. Jumbo. A lovely ten to fifteen minute stroll will get you to the University of Montana, (walk to the GRIZ GAMES!!!), Downtown Missoula, the Missoula Farmers Market, and the Clark Fork River. Hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, kayaking... plus, great shops, restaurants, museums, and parks... are all within walking/biking distance of our cottage! We even provide a bike!
Less expensive than a hotel and with loads more personality, the cottage is the perfect home base for those wanting to explore Missoula. Get away from MOST of it... no landline, limited television... but also enjoy wireless internet access, a Sony dock for your ipod, cooking tools, utensils, and appliances, nice artwork, air conditioning, and a super sunny deck which looks out over a park-like lawn and gardens!
The cottage has been FRESHLY REMODELED!!!Caesarstone and tile countertop in the kitchen, beautiful tile bathroom, gorgeous hardwood floor in the living/bedroom area, authentic Mexican tile in the kitchen/dining area and fresh paint throughout! Learn the cottage's backstory at our blog... www.cutelittlecottage.wordpress.com.
Note: While the ceiling in the Living/Sleeping Area is quite high and roomy (it's lofted), the ceiling in the kitchen is on a slope. It's a decent height for most of the kitchen, but near the sink and stove, if you are 6' tall or more, this may be a head-bumper for you. We want you to be comfortable and thought you should know!
Also, WE WILL GLADLY ACCEPT RESERVATIONS FOR ONE NIGHT at a charge of $100 plus tax and $25 cleaning fee.
Clean, cute, comfortable... and close to everything!

Owners of the cottage are Jim and Jen Nave. We live in the main house in front with our son, our dog, and our cat. Jim bought the house and cottage in 1992 while a student at the University of Montana and I moved in in 1998. How we met? In 1997, a good friend of mine was living in the cottage and while visiting one day, my future husband came in to fix the shower. I thought he was cute and the rest is history!
I love the little cottage and often enjoy a glass of wine or two back there when it's unoccupied by guests... it's just a pleasant little get-a-way.
We just flat out love Montana. We love everything about it. We're so close to fishing, hiking, skiing, and biking.... it's awesome. If you like the outdoors, this is the place to be.
We chose the Lower Rattlesnake because of it's proximity to downtown and Greenough Park.
