I love spending time at this Townhome. The beach is real serenity, yet across the street is farmland where I have watched 2 baby steers chasing each other in a game of catch me if you can. Growing up on a farm as I did, it was a sweet treat from the past.
Across the road is a business that rents golf carts and kayaks. Galveston State Park on the bay side has a super
tour of the wetlands by kayak. On the beach side Galveston State Park has an hour tour on the weekend mornings
explaining what little creatures live in the sand.
The new Galveston Pier Amusement park opened in 2012. Look on Galveston.com to view upcoming attraction. June is the month of the yearly sand castle building contest on the beach. I cannot leave out Moody Gardens, the Historical Homes Tour in the summer. There is a sea camp for kids through the Coast Guard. There is much to see and do in Galveston! I have lived in a lot of different places but TEXAS IS BEST, and the most friendly place I have lived.
Galveston now has a Level 1 trauma center at the UTMB Hospital on the Island.
