We rented both front and back apartments over July 4th holiday. The location was absolutely perfect. This is a perfect getaway location if you want to be in the middle of the French Quarter. Jackson Square is literally right around the corner. The night of the 4th we could see the fireworks on the river from the balcony. By the way, we loved and used the balcony. Had a great time just people watching. Can't wait to go back and rent the property again. Wendy and Raj were great to deal with. Can't beat them. Pam & Mike from MS

Mardi Gras to remember!

Myself and four of my friends (2 couples) stayed here for 5 nights over Mardi Gras this year - just one word - amazing, perfect, captures the heart and essence of NOLA....I could go on - OK, it is not possible in one word..!
We rented out both the front and back - one couple stayed in the back which has great facilities and also gives privacy. In the front - the other couple stayed in the double bedroom and I slept in the sofa bed in the lounge which was dead comfy - plenty of room for 5-6 people.
The location couldn't be better especially for Mardi Gras. For the few days leading up to Mardi Gras itself we went to the parades and soaked up the atmosphere. It is right in the centre - we could walk most places - the only time we got a taxi was to go for dinner at the 'Commanders Palace' which I would definitely recommend if you are looking for a place to go for a posh-ish meal - it is down in the Garden District. For the true taste of NOLA would also recommend tasting the Po-Boys at Johnny Po-Boys - so, so tasty! Also, Sunday Brunch is a must and an institution - would recommend Mr B's on Royal Street.
We had actually planned to hit the parades for Mardi Gras itself but ended up spending the whole day on the balcony that overlooks the street - lots of mini parades went past, the music was playing, people were partying, we were dressed in fancy dress throwing beads to the crowds and drinking homemade Hurricanes - was one of the best and most memorable days of my travels EVER!
There is a supermarket just across the street which stocks pretty much everything, the crazy Bourbon street is just a few minutes walk away - and if you fancy somewhere quieter there are plenty of bars and restaurants on Royal Street itself.
We fancied getting away from it all and booked an airboat swamp tour which was great - we didn't see many 'Gators' as it was pretty cold but the swamps are beautiful and definitely something not to miss if you have time!
The accomodation is a 'home from home' - so well equipped and has everything you need. If you are looking for a posh hotel room this is not it - if you are looking to stay in a beautiful French Quarter condo which has the authentic New Orleans feel - this is the place. I had been to New Orleans once before and stayed in a hotel - never again - this will be the first place I will try and book next time I am back. As they say - once you have been to New Orleans you will always be back!! Wendy & Raj - thankyou so much!

My girlfriends and I just got back from an extended weekend at this location and it was a unanimous decision....this was our best trip ever. The apartments were well maintained and the location was PERFECT. We never even rented a car but we managed to see a lot of the city. The trolleys are within walking distance and there is a lot to see that is within walking distance. Wendy and Raj were polite and prompt in all my dealings with them. Even though this property is not a "high class" hotel or condo, I would highly recommend this property to anyone that is wanting to experience New Orleans as it should be experienced....up close and personal!

A Fabulous Stay in New Orleans!

We absolutely loved the setting of the 2 units and the N’awlins flare. The street balcony and the back deck were used non-stop! And the full kitchen and high ceilings enabled comfortable entertaining for 4 adults. We became dependent on Rouses Market across the street (with their freshly made take-out and delicious coffee) and all of the wonderful restaurants (checkout Carmillia Grille anytime of day, The Old Coffeepot Restaurant just ½ a block away for amazing food, and the Royal House Restaurant for charbroiled oysters!) The eclectic bars (check out Pirate Alley near the St. Louis Cathedral, Lafittes Blacksmith Shop Bar, and Boondock Saint Bar just down the street for free hot dogs during Saints games). Also, the street corner delivered live local music! All this and the many interesting shops kept us busy for 6 full days and nights! And say hello to Joe at One Sun Gallery just down Royal Street with a beautiful selection and a fountain with bubble! Everything was within walking distance and our stay couldn’t have been nicer. Wendy the owner was wonderful to work with. We'll definitely stay here again!!

My wife and I stayed in the 1 bedroom condo in the back, and it was perfect. We were here for the French Quater Festival. You can not beat this condo's location. The condo itself is really basic, and extremely clean. All thats all we wanted. Wendy, the owner, is great to work with and is always an email away. Will be staying here again!

My friends and I stayed here during Halloween weekend and I must say it was a fantastic experience. You cannot beat the location of this condo as when we arrived we parked our car in a lot 1/2 block away and did not even need to see it again until we were packing it up to go home 3 days later. Upon entering the condo for the first time I couldn't help but watch the expressions of my friends faces as they had left everything up to me to find a place for us in the French Quarter for the weekend. They were blown away! All weekend long everyone kept reminding me how well I did. The condo itself was very clean, with that old French Quarterish architecture that I've grown to love over the years. I have to say that my favorite part of the condo was the HUGE floor to ceiling window that is used for the entrance to the balcony. I can't tell you how much fun we had just sitting on the balcony conversing and watching all the people walking by. Thank you Wendy. This place far exceeded my expectations and I would rent it for the next 5 Halloweens in advance if I could afford it!

True Vieux Carre Experience

I spent a week in this condo with my wife, 8 year-old son, and father-in-law. Regardless of who you are, you will not find a better location in the French Quarter. We've been visiting the quarter for 20 years and have stayed in many places, mostly the Monteleone, but this place will be our only choice going forward. Thank you, Wendy and Raj, for the opportunity to experience the Vieux Carre like we never have. We look forward to many more visits to your very special home.

this was the first N.O. vacation where my family and I chose to stay in a condo as opposed to a hotel. when we come back to Nola this is the way to go. after 10 days here we felt like it was our home away from home. The place is perfectly situated. we were practically able to walk to all the sights. we didn't even rent a car because it was really unnecessary. Wendy was an available( by email) and wonderful hostess who answered our, i'm sure, all to common questions. the amenities were just perfect. we will be sure to stay here when we return and will feel comfortable in recommending this property to any of our friends who might be vacationing in Nola. Thanks Wendy and we'll see you next time.

I rented the apt with the balcony for a girl's weekend in April. The three of us stayed very comfortably in the 1 bedroom apt, and we loved the balcony. We walked to almost every place we wanted to visit and only hopped on the trolley to do a little site seeing. You are close enough to the excitement to be there in a 5-10 minute walk, but we still had no problem with noise. We can’t wait to go back, and I’ll definitely rent this place again!

NOLA for the holidays

Spent 8 nights in the condo for Christmas thru New Years. This is the place to do New Years - close enough to see and hear the action of Bourbon from the balcony. The kitchen amenities are great, plenty of room for a family of 6 adults without feeling crowded. Parked our car for $20 a day around the block in a garage with in and out privileges. Loved having 2 bathrooms with 3 females in the group. Clean, attractively furnished and right in the middle of the Fr. Quarter. Will go back as soon as possible. 3 flights of stairs kept us in shape.
