Stayed at this charming house for 2 weeks with my family of 4.
What to say?....Just a wonderful house in a superb area and a fabulous setting. The house is beautifully decorated and has more amenities than any family would need to make a stay as restful and as relaxing as possible.
Even though the house is appropriately described in the website, we felt that it actually offered even more amenities and facilities than the description, especially for family with kids (plenty of games, puzzles, books, CDs etc).
It is a very clean and well-maintained house; and the surrounding woods, pond and playing ground are very private and offer a huge "extras" that are wonderful conveniences to use to relax and wind down. Even though the location is remote, there are plenty of shopping/groceries within few minutes drive if need be.
We were especially delighted that the owner provided plentiful printed information, directions, maps, booklets etc on local activities and facilities. And the owner was always very prompt to answer any question and query immediately and effectively.
In sum, one of the best houses we used while vacationing in the US and we would immensely recommend this house to anyone wishing to spent some quiet and restful family quality-time in the Poconos.

Me and 6 other girls needed a mini vacation just to hang out and relax. We found this beautiful house and fell in love with it as soon as we saw the pictures, but when we got there it was so much more! It was a home where we all wanted to stay and never leave. It fit all of us comfortably with much room to spare. It is in an isolated area, but there are markets and other things about 15 minutes away. I absolutely adored this house and I am really looking forward to staying there again.

My party and I were so pleased to rent this property. The photos accurately depict the home's presentation. The home is perfectly clean, warm, inviting and comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked. The radiant floor heating is fabulous. And we really enjoyed using the fireplace each evening.

Interactions with the owner were fast and informative.

Just a perfect weekend get-away for my family. Very kid friendly....swing set in the back yard, toys, booster seat for table, crib and even a potty seat! Nice open floor plan...very comfortable and clean. Great communication! Will definitely love to come stay again. Thank you!

We rented this vacatiion home while we were in Pennsylvania for the wedding of my son at the Stroudsmoor. We stayed here for 6 days and it wasn't enough! I have often wished we had two homes, one in Florida where we live and one in Pennsylvania. Well, we no longer have to purchase a second home. When we retire, we would like to spend some time at Tigh Ciuin again. It was the perfect home for a family gathering. We were able to have a family reunion as well as the wedding. The house and property was large enough to accomodate family members for lunch, without feeling crowded. We experienced some memorable moments while here. My 30 year old son and 9 year old niece who have special needs bonded immediately and were practically inseparable for the whole time they were together. (My niece and 2 sisters stayed with us). We have not seen them for 5 years. I was also able to visit with my brother and his family as well as my nephew and his wife. My son and new bride stopped by with their friends the day after the wedding also. Everyone loved the home and it was so comfortable. The house exceeded our expectations and everything was provided except for the food. I can not even express in words how much this trip meant to all of us. My sister said that it was one of the best times she ever had. Everyone pitched in also to help grocery shop, cook, clean, and do laundry. I also have to mention that we visited Columcile down the street which was a beautiful spot and so peaceful. Please do not miss this opportunity if you like a tranquil and beautiful setting. I want to thank Maureen for staying in touch and replying to my calls and messages very quickly. A special thank you to her Mom and Dad for being there for us for any questions we had. It was a pleasure meeting them. My only concern is that the house will be there for us fans for many years to come. I hope that you will continue to offer it for rent. After all, it is our second home now!

This house was perfect for our family wedding at Stroudsmoor Country Inn,which was approx. 5 miles away. My husband and I, our daughter's family and our son and his wife enjoyed the openness of the living/kitchen areas to visit with friends and family during our 3 days in the area. We all took long walks and the grandkids loved the frogs in the pond. Children's games and puzzles were much appreciated to keep them entertained. The kitchen had all the 'tools' to make ourselves at home....if the weather had been warmer we would have loved using the large patio ...it looked spectacular. The best part of the experience was communicating with the owner...who answered every question promptly and extremely accommodating. This was a wonderful experience.

This rental has all the comforts of home. I have rented cabins before that you can tell no one pays attention to, with light bulbs burned out and just the bare essentials strewn about. Tigh Ciuin is not that way. The kitchen was well-stocked with any cooking item you would need, plenty of flatware and dishes for large groups. Beautifully decorated, well-lit, clean and cozy. The fireplace was ready for a weekend of crackling fires. And the heated floors kept our toes nice and toasty.

We brought our 4 dogs with us, the home had dog beds and bowls, what a surprise!

One evening we had family members with small children visit for dinner and they were able to enjoy all the toys in the home and use the children's cups and dishes.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the Wind Gap/ Bangor/ Stroudsburg area.

I highly recommend this house. It is a beautiful cozy home and a great place to get away. Very clean and has everything you need. It was a great family getaway..
