This property is like no other - it is a secluded mountain top resort home. Two minutes from town. The waterfalls and streams are like a Disney attraction pumping 7000 gal. per min. chlorinated water. Just 5 feet away from the water fall pool is the hot tub (go from 50 degree water fall to 100 degree hot tub). The 4000 sq foot resort home is another world with logs from the 1700s. And a great room with fireplace and 20 foot ceilings. Downstairs is the game room bar with saddles for bar stools and games of pool and darts. Check out our website WELLSSTONERESORT COM
(Note) Waterfalls are shut down in October and winterized to keep the pumps and lines from freezing.

Christmas at Wells Stone

We wanted a special place to spend a family Christmas and Wells Stone did not disappoint! Unprecedented amounts of snow kept us in for a few days, but we had plenty to keep us entertained between the hot tub, pool table, sat TV, etc. The kids had a blast in the snow; being from Florida it was a special treat. We spent a day at Tube World and went into Waynesville, a quaint little town not far from the property, for an afternoon of shopping. The cabin is authentic and rustic, but still comfortable, warm and very well maintained. Loved the kitchen! The views from all sides are breathtaking and the snowy mountains added to the beauty. We definately had the experience we were promised and can't wait to get back!

Me & my family had an awesome time at this house. It had everything we needed. It was clean & very well maintained. The owner calling upon arrival & right before we left was an extra that made us feel even more welcomed. I would recommend this property for anyone coming to this area & hope that we get to visit it again. Everything from shopping, and restaurants to snow tubing & the ski resort were all only a short drive away. We would like to thank the Well's for a wonderful experience in their amazing home.

Awesome home with everything we needed

We had an awesome stay at Wells home. The house was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay and everything was very well maintained. The call from the owner upon arrival & right before departure were very nice, and made us feel very welcomed in their home. We would recommend this property to anyone going up to this area, it was our favorite. Also restaurants, stores, snow tubing & the ski resort were only a short drive away. Hoping to come back to this property next time we plan a trip up north. Thanks so much to the Wells' for such a wonderful experience.

Another amazing vacation

Our family just spent another amazing two week vacation at Wellstone resort. We have visited Maggie Valley for several summer vacations, this is the first time we stayed in the same home. We knew that we could never find a home more perfect than Wellstone.
The owner and property manager was very helpful in getting us acquainted with the property. The kitchen was well supplied and everything was immaculate. The back patio was perfect for quiet serenity, the bedroom deck provided great sunsets, and the hot tub and waterfall was perfect after a long day of hiking.
I would definitely recommend Wellstone, and we look forward to returning for another family vacation in the future.

Pictures do not do this property justice, it is a must see. Looking to relax?? You will. Looking to be secluded, yet close to sooo much??? You are. Our vacation consisted of 4 adults, 1 teenager and 3 around 10 years old. Everyone found a place to get away to. There was plenty to entertain everyone. With its close proximity to everything day trips out were easy and the house was a pleasure to return home to. Our stay was at the end of June 2012 and the weather was great for most of the week. Temps in the 70's. The heat cranked on Friday so we went to Sliding Rock and hit some other waterfalls to cool off. Everyone had an excellent time and we will be back soon!!!

We vacationed in the North Carolina mountains for the first time - and we were so fortunate to find this wonderful home! It is secluded, and surrounded by beautiful views (especially from the master bedroom). And this was the first time that we didn't say "I can't wait to get back home to our own bed". The sleep number bed was heaven!! We enjoyed a fire every night on the patio...and took advantage of the hot tub. Every amenity of the home is fabulous.
We really fell in love with Maggie Valley as well....a great location that is perfect for day trips to the Biltmore, a drive along the Blue Ridge Parkway and visiting Asheville, etc. We hope to return again next year!!

N.C. Mtn. Fun

We have been renting homes in the Waynesville/Maggie valley area for years. I look forward every year to the cooler temps, the beautiful mtns., good eating, and the fishing, swimming and all the other fun we have as a family. This year we stayed at "Wells Stone resort". It was so much different than some of the others we stayed in; and we stay only in the nicest. We sat by the stream at night with a toddy and listened to the waterfall (50 ft away). Some nites we got into the hot tub.Unlike some of the others we've stayed in; we had plenty of parking, a nice yard for the kids (my grandkids), and a large deck to rock and read my book, or to grill on. This place is such a grande mix of old character and new everything else. We look forward to going back (all 10 of us).
