There's lots to do in the surrounding area, for instance you can go hiking at Devil's Hop Yard, or explore Gillett's Castle which was once owned by the actor William Gillette. There's a dinosaur park where you can dig for fossils and visit the gift store which has many jewels for sale and educational toys.
What to do on Giants Neck Beach.: In our 1950's original beach house you can sit on the enclosed porch and look at the view of the Long Island Sound, it is safe for children. There are tennis courts & a playground for young children. You can fish right off the beach. It's a perfect area to kayak or canoe in the calm waters of the sound & creek. You can visit the many attractions in the nearby surrounding towns, such as taking a hike at Devil's Hop Yard or exploring Gillette's Castle which once belonged to the actor William Gillette. We are close to Fox Woods & Mohegan Sun Casino's too. The Crystal Mall is only a few exits down I 95 if you need anything you'll find it there. It's 5 miles to downtown Niantic where there are many shops to explore, the Niantic Childrens Museum and the finest fishing fleet in New England. You can charter a private boat or take a charter boat out to the best fishing grounds in the LI sound.
