Casa Chic sits within easy walking distance from the eco chic, laid back vibe of the shops, boutique hotels and restaurants. Yet it is secluded and private only steps away from the Sian Ka'an Biosphere Reserve. The beach is at your doorstep with its alluring turquoise blue, warm Carribean water. The house as it's name suggests..is a very chic 5 bedroom (king size beds), 5 bathroom beach front with an open, spacious living and dining area; complete with bar swings for a playful, casual and relaxed atmosphere. The palapa roof gives the home local, authentic character; while the well appointed furnishings, lighting and quality of amenties are sophisticated. The kitchen and built-in brick BBQ in the back yard (jungle side) easily accommodates dining for 10 or more people.
However, for nights where dining out is preferred - quaint and cool restaurants are strewn all down the beach road. Posada Margherita, Hechizos, Hartwood and Casa Jaquar to name a few. Or there's the very chill beach bars near Tankha Bay for a more laid back vibe. (Many of the restaurants frequent top 10 in Conde Naste). Other things to do after a good lounging session on Casa Chic's beach day beds include a visit to Mayan Ruins (approx 15km north on Boca Palila Road), a Mayan Clay massage, kite sailing, bike riding, yoga classes and shopping for Tulum's hippie chic fashion and jewelery in the sand floored, jungle wood, open aired, funky shops that dot the hotel fronts on the beach or the jungle side.
The house staff are friendly, and attentive with breakfast ,fresh linens and daily housekeeping. A luxury oasis, exquistley decorated; comfortable and sophisticated.
I miss the sound of the singing birds and the crash of the surf on the sugar white sands already!!

My husband and I chose the beach near Hechizo and the restaurant to have our dream beach wedding/buddymoon with around 20 of our dearest friends who have known us in some shape or form over our 10 year relationship.

We had a vision of renting a couple of beach homes to accommodate guests so we didn't have to worry about transportation, and where guests could easily access the area where we had the main party, the beach, and get to know each other. Casa Chic was just the place we had envisioned for all of these years!!! Our wedding weekend and the following week centered around this stunning and magical property! It was right next door to a place called Casa de Las Olas, where the other half of the party stayed, maybe a 2 minute walk from door to door, so it more than met our requirements in terms of layout.

Casa Chic was just perfect for our style and the vibe we were going for. The photos on this review are absolutely spot on and it is even more mind-blowing in person! Everyone was so happy during this trip. Got several reviews about it being the "most beautiful beach" they have ever been too. The water in the backyard of this rustic chic, elegant, yet consciously-appointed home was so inviting and made everyone smile. And best of all, it was so private! We only saw a handful of other people the entire week we were there! Having just returned from Hawaii I now feel spoiled about having access to a private beach through my stay at Casa Chic!

Lisa is very accessible, as are Hui/Stefan with any questions. Furthermore, Freddy, the caretaker of the property has such a kind and gentle soul and you will leave missing him too, like we did!

The only con I can think of is to definitely be prepared for mosquitoes. I happen to be one of those people with "fairy blood", so the mosquitoes love me, even if I'm covered in DEET. The home is situated on the other side of mangroves, so the mosquitoes definitely come at night. They were not a big problem in the bedrooms because of the nets, ceiling fans, and electric fan, but in the common areas where we had dinner in the evenings lounging around on the couch, there was some slight irritation by guests because of the mosquitoes, which still one could not avoid despite using the screens and insect repellent. All in all, it is definitely not a deal breaker because the home and the location are just THAT AMAZING, and can be managed appropriately with mosquito coils if necessary!

I don't know were to start! We are a family from Mèxico but we've been living in Italy for 20 years. We always go away from Europe during the summer because all the beaches are so crouded and we like to be in a peacefull place. We've been to many places around the world but as mexicans we love to come back to our country, for many reasons, we miss our people, our food, our history and also because it's one of the best places in the world!
We choose Casa Chic because a friend of mine had been there and told me it was the best, then I saw the pictures and we decided to rent the house.
We brought another family from Italy with us, and before arriving there I was a little bit nervous because it was a big responsability for me if there was something wrong with the house, most of the time pictures can be beautiful but when they become reality it can be very bad, it has happen to us!!
Any way, Casa Chic is more of what you've ever expect, it is paradise on earth!!
The house is exactly as you see in the pictures and more! It's done with really good taste, every piece of furniture is done with love and with local materials but with the comfort of a luxury house. The kitchen is perfect, the deck were we dine every night with sound of the waves and the brezze was magical. The rooms are so beautiful, and the best thing is that they are all the same, so if you go with other people, you don't have to fight about who get's the best one. It is full of details, the lighting is amazing, very soft and romantic. And the location i'ts the best!!! just few steps and you are in the white sand beach of the caribean with nobody around, and you lay down in those wonderfoul and comfortable beach beds under the palms, it is one of the most pleasent feelings you can experience, and something that took our breath away is that every night the turtles came to our beach to lay theyre eggs, this is a privilege to be able to witness. If you like fresh fish or lobsters, you just have to go to the beach and wait for the fishermans to pass by the ocean, you just wave your hands and they come to you on theyre boat and you can buy the catch of the day at ridiculous prices. There are also many things to do there, scuba diving, fishing, golf 20 minutes by car, the mayan ruins, Boca Paila is a wonder of nature, don't miss it. Also the Sian Kaan reserve is spectacular, go on a boat ride there go to the canal. PARADISE! Thank's Lisa for sharing your piece of pardise with us!!!

I have been on many of the best beaches in the world and the white sand beach in front of Casa Chic is, by far, the best I have ever had the good fortune to experience! Staying in one of the ocean front rooms with self-contained bath, was truly a feast for all my senses whether I was being lulled to sleep by the ocean waves, watching brilliant sun sparkle through the breezy palm trees in the lush beachfront garden or smelling the clean Caribbean air, I was tempted not to leave my room. Of course I did and oh, boy! when I did, the Tulum magic continued. Every day I was served a fresh, local continental breakfast, walked the few steps to the oversized beachfront lounge chairs, dropped my plush towel and ran into the warm, turquoise water of the Mexican Riviera. I could just stop there but I need to tell you about the miles and miles of clean, empty beach, the small, friendly beach restaurants that serve fresh, inexpensive food and good wine or the day trips into the quaint town of Tulum or the spectacular ruins at Coba. Even this doesn't do Casa Chic or this little undiscovered area justice. Give yourself the gift of a lifetime and stay at Casa Chic!!!

We just got back from an amazing trip with eight of our best friends. Casa Chic was more than we had hope for. The house is spectacular and the surroundings are a treasure. The owners have put together the perfect combination of Mayan traditional style and sleek (chic) design that creates a mood of absolute luxury without sacrificing the intimate connection to the landscape and jungle that define a real, local experience.

The five bedrooms with en suite bathrooms provide the space and privacy needed to live comfortably with a large group of friends. The beach is heavenly and the shaded beach beds are truly decadent. The large kitchen afforded us the opportunity to cook lavish meals in the evenings which gave way to a series of dinner parties with a view of the moon rise over the sea just about the time that the wine began to flow. It was a perfect week in paradise, con coco.

If you have ever wanted to spend time on a perfect beach with in an amazing house with a delightful but unobtrusive staff, Casa Chic is the place. We will definitely be booking it again for next year.

We had an absolutely incredible stay at Casa Chic and already want to go back! The house is absolutely gorgeous, not to mention the incredible stretch of beach that it sits on. The house is indulgently luxurious, yet feels authentically Mayan - very unique. It maintains local architecture and style, while still providing 'comforts from home.' We loved everything about it.

We have been to Mexico several times, and Tulum is by far our favorite destination. You simply can't beat the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Ocean and that soft white sand! We loved walking up and down the beach, exploring all the charming boutique hotels and restaurants.

If you are sick of all-inclusive's and are looking for some real character and beauty, this is the place to come. We ate incredible food, the weather was spectacular, we had peace and quiet, and truly, couldn't have asked for more.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to visit Mexico numerous times and stay in different resorts and villas for each vacation. Never, in my 15 years of Mexico trips have I ever experienced such a magical and relaxing destination as Casa Chic in Tulum. From the moment you walk through the jungle leading up to the home, you know you’ve found a unique piece of paradise. The home is visually breathtaking – everything from the palapa-style architecture and serene mood lighting to the swinging bar chairs and luxurious furniture and finishings. Yet nothing seems out of place, as the decor and styling were obviously chosen to mirror authentic Mexican culture and respect the natural surroundings. For example, the wood steps leading up to the villa are cut away in several places to allow the palms to grow through. These qualities make you feel like you’ve escaped from the typical tourist destination and found a lavish hidden retreat.

The beach and ocean are spectacular. You have your own row of private beach beds that are within a stone’s throw of both the ocean and the home’s kitchen, the white sand expands for miles in either direction and the turquoise water is warm and free of debris. I’ve never been much of a swimmer, but I spent quality time in the ocean this time around, not missing an over-chlorinated pool for more than a fleeting moment. The service staff frequenting the grounds are friendly and helpful. They are obviously passionate about the property and know Tulum well. If you decide to venture out to explore the surrounding areas (which you should) the caretakers will make sure to advise you on the best restaurants, bars and recreational destinations. We enjoyed numerous five-star quality meals throughout Tulum and stunning views from rooftops in the Sian Kaan Reserve.

If you have any sense of adventure and are looking for a memorable getaway that exposes you to the true beauty and tranquility that Mexico has to offer, I wholeheartedly recommend Casa Chic. Grande Vacaciones!

Where do I start.... I spend a lot of time travelling for both work and pleasure and have been to approximately 30 countries and this place takes the cake. Tulum is not your typical Mexico holiday. The white sand beaches stretch as far north and south as the eye can see, the water is Carribean blue and palm trees stretch up and down the beach. Thankfully there are no all inclusive mega hotels on the beach; just cool little boutique hotels, restaurants and beach bars. The food at many of the restaurants is outstanding; I had some of the best meals that I have had in a longtime. Casa Chic itself is simply magical. This place is directly on the beach, when you step out of the kitchen you are in the sand. I have stayed at luxury homes in the past that claimed they were on the beach, but this is the real deal. Views of the ocean from the house are outstanding, there are queen size beach beds on the beach with umbrellas and the beach is all yours. I am definitely coming back and would highly recommend Casa Chic.
