My husband and I stayed at "Bearfoot 2" for our 1st Anniversary (or "Honeyversary" as we like to call it)! It was perfect! First off, the sweet town the cabin is located in is perfect! Nice little shops and diners. Not too much and not too little.

We arrive to our cabin after a hard day of camping and hiking in the Smokies, and we are beaming! Our car climbs up the 45 deg angle of a driveway and we are in awe! The overlook was beautiful! We got out and started our trek up the stairs to the cabin (not for the elderly- pretty steep). The porch is beautiful, the rocking chairs are a nice place to sit for breakfast, and of course, the hot tub, which was my favorite, was so relaxing!

Inside, the cabin is so cute and cozy. Perfect for 2 adults! The kitchen is pretty well stocked with cookware, and there's a nice grill outside that was useful to us. The owners even left a few DVDs to watch on the nice flat screen (with cable) in case you need a little rewind from the day (we don't have cable TV at home so it was a nice perk for us!)

The bedroom was great! The Jacuzzi in the bedroom was very romantic! (umm...note: don't put too many bath bubbles in a running Jacuzzi! They multiply much faster than in a normal tub! HA!) The washer and drier, located behind the bedroom door when the bedroom door is open (we couldn't find it for the longest time), was a great perk! It was nice to come home from vacation with all our clothes already washed!

Overall, it was a great stay! We haven't stopped talking about this cabin since we returned from our Honeyversary! We definitely recommend this to a couple looking for an affordable Romantic Get-Away!

We had a great stay this little cabin is simply the best so peaceful we trully did not want to leave was well worth the long trip from England.

We cant wait to come again Spent all day in the Smokies and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings we felt our batteries re-charge from the minute we arrived and when we left it was like leaving a friend.

We have recommended this place to our friends and family on both sides of the pond.

Perfect 10 out of 10.

Bearfoot 2 Review

The pictures on the internet and Billie’s description of the cabin do not do the "Bearfoot 2" justice. The cabin was better than I ever expected. It was sufficiently secluded on a quiet mountain road with the trees and high elevation of the cabin, even though there were other cabins fairly close nearby. The cabin was immaculate and had all the modern conveniences that you could ask for and more--large flat screen tv with cable and DVD player, hot tub, whirlpool tub in bedroom, washer/dryer, dishwasher, gas log fireplace, etc. We were wanting for nothing during our vacation. Everything looked brand new also & worked like a dream.

I have stayed in cabins in Townsend many times over the past 25+ years, starting as a child with my parents. I have visited the Smokies an average of once a year during that time. This was by far my favorite cabin rental in the Smokies, and I will definitely rent the "Bearfoot 2" again.

Billie was also a pleasure to deal with in making (and changing) our reservations. She was easy to communicate with, and the arrival and departure procedures could not have been easier. She had everything taken care of for us, and even left a nice note and a surprise for us under a cute little Christmas tree that we found upon our arrival.

The only thing that could have been an issue was that the driveway was a little difficult to maneuver because of its steep slope and the icy/snowy weather conditions. However, it was manageable with a 4-wheel drive truck. The driveway was well-maintained pavement, which helped. Overall, it was a terrific experience, and I would recommend the "Bearfoot 2 to anyone, especially younger couples.

Nice place; added extras such as coffee, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap.
Evidently a slight problem with lady bugs as they had crept in near the windows and doors.
Gorgeous porch - can hear mountain stream; trees all around.
For non tech people, might be nice to have directions on how to use the DVD; we couldn't find the correct channel on the TV so we could watch the DVD.
Nice, handwritten note upon arrival with phone number to call, if needed.
