Amazing Family Vacation at an Amazing Home

Everything about our stay at this home was top notch:
* The lot - sunny, west facing, no bank beach, incredible view of Puget Sound and the entire Olympic Mountain range
* Beach - at low tide the tide goes WAY out, the hard pack sand is perfect to run or walk on - you can go for miles in either direction.
* Clamming - we filled up large buckets of clams in several minutes...the owners had all the gear needed for harvesting and steaming. Made some incredible homemade chowder.
* Wildlife - bald eagles, hawks, and seabirds were everywhere
* House layout - worked great for two families with kids, spent lots of time cooking, playing games, etc. Fun nooks and crannies that the kids loved. Good sized garage for some bikes and a kayak that we brought.
* Beautifully appointed - art, furniture, hardwoods, beds, linens - again, everything top notch. The owners have it stocked with a great barbecue, heat lamps and wool blankets for cool evenings, kites...everything you could want for a great beach vacation.
Best vacation we've had in Washington State - and we've had lots of them. Very, very difficult to leave. We look forward to returning soon.

a truly special place...

This is our family's absolute favorite place to stay on Whidbey Island. The house is fabulous, beautifully situated on a quiet stretch of beach -- but still an easy drive from the ferry or into Langley. When the tide goes out, it goes WAYYY out, creating a veritable playground of exploration for kids and adults. The house is beautifully furnished, but still feels comfortable and cozy. The owners generously let us borrow from their store of beach equipment - beach chairs, sand pails and shovels, rubber boots, etc. Some friends came out to help celebrate our daughter's birthday, and everyone just raved about the house. A very special place.

Wonderful Beach House - our home away from home!

This lovely beach house is our favorite place for a family vacation. This summer will be our third year escaping to this beautiful vacation spot. The owners have simply thought of everything that a family might need for a beach getaway. From beach boots for clamming, blankets for sitting on the deck while stargazing, and great quality bedding in all of the bedrooms - this place is just top notch all the way. It is furnished and decorated beautifully and is very well maintained. The kitchen is stocked with quality kitchen equipment making it a real pleasure to cook gourmet meals. The stunning sunsets complete evening meals on the deck. We have stayed at many beach houses on the West Coast and this is definitely the best!
