New furniture throughout including a cozy living room arrangement with gas stove and LCD TV with full cable and DVD. WIFI now available so bring your computers. Newly installed central Air Conditioning makes it cool even during a heatwave. Two floor design puts the kids down stairs and the parents above. Large front porch for catching sun or reading the morning paper. Screened back porch for dinner and late evening drinks. Living room is big enough for all to gather. Kitchen is full of utensils for cooking or grilling outside. Clothes washer and dryer. Stove and microwave. All the amenities a family or 2 would need for a weeks getaway.

Suissevale Beach Community: Suissevale is a quiet subdivision in Moultonborough. Houses are spaced apart and very private. My cottage in particular is surrounded by trees in all directions. For residents and guests, there are many things to do. A full private beach just steps away. Two boat launches. Two playgrounds. One on the beach, the other at the clubhouse. Two tennis courts. Barbeque and picnic tables behind the beach. And so much to do in the surrounding area.

Cottage History: I bought the cottage about four years ago. I was hoping to find a family reunion point near all the family. The Lake seemed like a natural spot. My Aunt Sandy has been an owner in Suissevale for more than 10 years and loves it. She can also help with visitors like you. Most of the rest of the family live up in Berlin or down in Manchester, New Hampshire. Moultonborough was perfect. We looked at a lot of houses. It came down to two…this one or a new one a mile off the Lake. I wanted the new one, but 4 important women (my 2 aunts, my mother and my girlfriend) told me close to the lake was better. It was big enough for everyone. It was well maintained. It was very close to the Lake. So I bought it. I’ve changed all the furniture. High-quality Ethan Allen furniture all around. We painted the entire place inside and out. There are all new decorations everywhere. It feels like a new home. But it keeps that cottage feel. I’m very proud of it and think the ladies made the right choice.

Northern Lake Winnipesaukee:. it's got lots of restaurant reviews and ideas on what to do. Fishing licenses, horseback riding and blue berry picking are all very near.

Memorable Vacation

This was my first stay in the Lake Winnipesaukee area with family and it was a memorable one. The house reminds me of a Swiss chalet. It's immaculate, well-maintained, and in a great location. The central air is a plus since we arrived on a very humid afternoon. Brian was very responsive to any needs that arose. The coffee pot wasn't working properly and a replacement was delivered that afternoon. Very close to the beach and a wagon is provided to carry the chairs. We took advantage of the fire pit for s'mores in the evening! Be sure to visit Castle in the Clouds. Head into Wolfeboro one night for dinner and icecream. You'll be very pleased with your stay here!

We were so pleased with this home, it was a great place for our family to relax and enjoy the beach. The ammenities were perfect and the location to the beach as well as the local restaurants was ideal. The property was immaculate and we truly felt like we were at home. We have 2 children (age 7 and 4) and were able to take a day trip to Story Land, it was less than an hour ride as well as some other activities, gondola ride up Loon Mountain and hiking. The beach was very well maintained and provided a safe swimming option for us. The owner was so helpful and informative prior and during our stay, I would highly recommend this property to others considering a relaxing vacation!

lovely vacation setting

My husband and three of our adult children (and spouses) loved our weeklong stay here at Lake Winnipesaukee. The beach is beautifully kept and we all enjoyed paddling along in our kayak as well as swimming and sunbathing. The home is a real beauty. We especially enjoyed the deck, and in the evening the screened porch. We liked it so much we never took advantage of the fire pit, although we intended to. We took a couple of road trips to Weirs Beach and also to the Kancamagaus Highway. It has been about 8 years since we vacationed up in the lakes region and I had forgotten what a treasured spot this is. I hope we can return again someday. I would and have recommended this spot for any family, small children or several adults. The beach is an easy walk and the property is beautifully maintained. Brian has been very easy to work with and I would like to thank him so much for renting this great vacation home for a hard working family like my own

We visited during the busiest week on the lake, the week of July 4th. From the moment we walk in until the moment we left our family felt like we were at home. The house was very clean and well stocked. We found that the beds were very comfortable, especially the lowere bunks. We spent every morning on the enclosed porch drinking tea/cofee and reading the paper. The decore was beautiful and gave me some decorating ideas. The closeness to the water makes this house a jewel. We will be returning for many years to come.

My wife and I took our two boys ages 6 and 9 here for a long weekend. The place was easy to get to and in a perfect location, very close to the lake. The house was beautifully furnished and air conditioned ! My boys each got their own room and there was still one left over.

We had lobster one night. BBQ'd on the grill the next night and used the back yard fire pit to make smores. We were lucky to have beautiful weather every day, but if we had bad weather, this is the place I would want to be stuck in. The TV has cable and a dvd player, a nice screened in back porch for card games and a gas fireplace. There is also Wi-Fi, so you can get your internet fix. With 4 bedrooms, this place would comfortably fit two families.

The beach is private, so only people in the Suissevale community are on it. My boys liked to fish in the morning, so showing up at the beach after 10:00 wasn't a big deal, we were always able to find a good spot. The swimming area is big and there are two floating docks to swim to. My boys loved to swim back and forth to each of them and jump/dive off. The boat dock is at the end of the beach and there is plenty of space to drive up to the beach, load up the family and go. We didn't Kayak or Jet Ski, but if you have them, bring 'em.

Ice cream at Skelly's (~2 miles) highly recommended. We had a delicious meal at the Pine Cone Cafe (~5 miles). In Meredith (25 minutes), I would recommend the Waterfall Cafe for breakfast.

We're looking forward to coming back next year and plan on staying at this property again.

Wonderful vacation

My husband & I came to celebrate our 16th wedding anniversary & had a wonderful time. I would come back to this lovely home again. It was well kept & very clean. It had all the amenities in this home. Microwave, fullsize frig, washer & dryer. Outdoor grill & firepit as well. It's just steps away from the best lake ever. We brought our 12ft fishing boat along and spent everyday on the lake exploring different inlets. We saw a bald eagle on one our fishing adventures & heard and also saw the beautiful loons on the lake. I have to tell you if you love seafood as we do you have to go to Cap't Bart's Seafood. It looks like a shack but don't be fooled it's the freshest you will every get unless you buy them straight from the docks. He goes out every am & comes back to sell them daily. You have just got to get yourself the best seafood while at Brian's home. It's just around the corner.
Well Brian thank you for letting us stay in you lovely home. We hope to be back in the near future.

Sincerely,
Luann & Rick

Great vacation spot!

This was our first time renting in the lakes region and I feel we found the perfect location to suit all of our needs. The property had everything we were looking for and was stocked with everything as advertised. The cleanliness and decor were much appreciated as many of the homes we looked at seemed as though they hadn't been redecorated since the 80's. The close proximity to the beach was great, especially with small children. Although we walked down every day, the parking pass provided by Brian was a big help in packing up the car for larger items as the house is on a hill and the walk up with kids and all that they need could get tiresome. The screened porch is where we spent most of the time while at the house and the central A/C ensured a comfortable nights sleep. We did use the fire pit out back but unfortunately that was cut short by a passing shower. All in all a great place to relax and enjoy all the area has to offer!

(just a side note, I am typically not a lake or pond person since growing up on the ocean but will say the beach is absolutely beautiful with white sand, clear water and gorgeous views!)

A Long Weekend That Felt Even Longer!

5 of 5
Submitted: August 22, 2011 Stayed: August 2011
I took my daughter and son (and one of their friends - all teenagers), for a 4 day weekend. It was a somewhat last minute trip, and we were very lucky to secure "shakistan". The layout is perfect for multiple activities. While my daughter was sunning and reading on the front deck, the rest of us played a lively game of rummy (with background music) on the back screen porch w/o even being aware of each others activity. An easy and short walk got us to the beach, and the beach wagon was clutch for transporting chairs, coolers, and the like. We were only able to get away for 4 days/3 nights but the accomodations allow you to comfortably settle in immediately and feel like you truly got away. I would recommend this property without hesitation, and would return without question.

It was our first trip to Winnipesaukee and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The beach was ideal, the location to manuever around the area couldn't have been better. Native produce available 10 minutes away at Moulton Farms ... delicious!

To borrow a phrase from my daughter, "This place rocks!".

What a great place to stay

Unlike most of the other reviewers, our stay was not family orientated. 8 best friends from high school, some who haven't seen each other in more than 12 years got together for an extended weekend. The house was exactly what we had hoped for. It slept 8 very comfortably and is well suited for any stay. I can tell you that many hands of poker were played on the back screened porch - it was the perfect place to reconnect. Early and late night swims in the lake (which is very close and has a great beach that is combed frequently and has two of the nicest docks I've ever seen) More there was a very nice golf course nearby that had great rates after 3 PM - we had an amazing few rounds.

We would rent this home again and have already discussed if we wanted to make this a yearly tradition.
