I rented this house during the first weekend of March 2013 with 4 couples and 2 singles. The property was beautiful- house is clean, common area open-- it's better in person than it is in pictures. The owner was accommodating through-and-through. Some of our group skiied, while others hung around the house or went cheese tasting. There is plenty to do in the area, and it's centrally located. We would be happy to rent it again in the coming winter season.

Idyllic VT Getaway

I rented this home with a group 7 adults and 1 child for a weekend of skiing at Okemo. The location of the home exceeded our expectations being tucked away off the main road but still just a short drive to the Mountain. The house is beautiful, clean, and nicely decorated with great amenities such as a new large TV in the living room, wood burning fire place, free wi-fi, and a hot tub outside on the deck. The apartment on the lower level was perfect for the couple and young child. It provided them with the extra space and privacy they needed to truly enjoy themselves. The upstairs bedrooms were also nicely furnished and having 3 full baths (one on each level) was great for the size of our group. The Owner, Phil, was very friendly and responsive throughout the booking process. He was able to grant us an early check-in and late check-out which was a huge bonus. The only thing I item I would caution others with is that there is NO cell service (Verizon) at the house, however there is a land line for local calls and free wi-fi as mentioned above. I would not hesitate to recommend this house to others and we look forward to returning again next winter!

Wonderful Ski Week

We just had an amazing stay at this wonderful house. The house has lots of space, fireplace, hot tub, well supplied kitchen...we wanted for nothing. It exceeded our expectations. Very clean and well maintained. Ours was a ski vacation at Okemo, and the house is just a short drive to the mountain and downtown. The owner was very professional and easy to deal with. We can't wait to come back!

The Perfect Vermont Rental

Stayed at this home for our anniversary and it truly felt like "Holmes Sweet Home". It was all we would expect from a vermont vacation...rustic and cozy with all the needed modern amenities. The living room featured huge windows that allowed us a perfect view of the mountains and it was almost magical when it started snowing. The fireplace kept us warm at night and the huge windows and high ceiling let the room fill with light during the day. The fully furnished kitchen was great (i love to cook) and the supermarket is 10 minutes away, and when we didn't cook there were several great restaurants/pubs. It was a 20 min drive to a fantastic snow mobiling adventure and 5 minutes from Okemo base. In otherwords, a perfect location! There is a huge lake just down the road(where people were ice fishing) and i can't wait to rent this home in the spring or fall to see it!!

This house was as described! The house was clean and well maintained. The owner provided all the necessary information and was quick to respond to emails. We had a great time at the house. It was very close to the ski slopes and the town of Ludlow. I would recommend the property to families and friends.

Top Notch Home and Location

This is the second strait year we have stayed at this home. We loved it last year and booked it again - we were not disappointed! This really is the perfect home for comfort as well as proximity to the area Ski attractions for the winter. You could practically walk to Okemo and are right outside of everything you need in Ludlow; you are 20 min from Killington which we hit up for a day; 45 min from Stratton for another great day; You are even about 1 hr from Manchester which is fantastic for shopping and restaurants as well. As for the home itself, it is neat, clean, and you will not feel like you are on top of each other as there are rooms on all 3 floors. The hot tub on the deck is fantastic after a long day on the slopes. The owner is a complete pleasure to work with - quick with info as you need it and painless to set up the stay. Also, both years, he has been quick to return the security deposit. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Amazing views and great space

This house had everything you could want and more. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and have their own space on rainy days. Great location, close to town. Beautiful home with an inside fireplace and a nice sized fire pit outside. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Also near to lake for fishing (alas it rained but we kept ourselves busy with the dozens and dozens of books to read) and swimming.
We definitely want to come back!

First Family Vacation made Wonderful!

We stayed at this wonderful home for our first real family vacation. The location is beautiful. From the deck you can see across to mountains and perfect sunsets. The town is only 5-10 minutes away with beautiful and curious little shops, and even if you forget something, you can find it with ease. The fire pit outside is perfect for roasting marshmallows, telling stories, or just enjoying the evening. The house is kept immaculate. I cannot say enough good things about it. The owner is very accommodating and answers any and all questions. Definitely a 5-Star pick.

Holmes Sweet Home

Had an amazing time! We were surprised how big the house was. Very spacious inside with a great view looking off the deck . Nothing like jumping in the Jacuzzi or relaxing by the fire after a great day of snowboarding. The house is a stones throw away from Okemo and Killington is only 20min away. There is no cell phone service in the house but if you walk to the edge of the driveway you will have service. Look forward to renting again!

This is a beautiful house located a short drive away from an entrance to Okemo. Whoever decorated this house pulled out every stop. The hot tub is a wonderful touch after a day on the slopes. The view from the back porch and hot tub is magnificent. The property is clean and well maintained. I would recommend it to anyone.
