Spectacular property with gorgeous views! The house had everything you need for a relaxing, care free vacation. The chalet was made for social gatherings, with a large kitchen, dining area, and copious seating. Very convenient access to skiing. We look forward to our next stay!

What's not to like? Perfect location makes ski-in/ski-out a breeze. Fantastically appointed, immaculately kept and wonderfully comfortable. Hot tub is perfect after a long day of skiing. Easily accommodates large groups too. Would definitely stay again!

Pros:

When you drive into the resort, it feels like you're at the North Pole!

Each chalet was beautiful, but this one seemed the nicest, by far.

The place was immense, but it felt like a cozy cabin. 11 of us slept there comfortably and there was plenty of room still available.

The kitchen was fully stocked (boy was I glad to see the Keurig!) and there was enough seating. We ate there for most meals.

Free wifi was available and it worked well. They also had a computer that you could use.

The house was beautifully furnished- it felt like you were staying in someone's home.

The mountain was great for experienced skiers, but even as a first-timer, I was able to do well. I took a lesson and the instructor was fantastic. I ended up paying for a group lesson and there were only 2 of us there!

This is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I've seen the Swiss Alps and I seriously think the Canadian Rockies are even more beautiful.

Could not have been a nicer place. Very clean and well-maintained. Elegant wood and tile inside. Really nice modern kitchen and bathrooms. Great for several families or a large party of people to share. Large outdoor area out back with hot tub and grill. Large place yet still comfortable and cozy. Plenty of bedrooms and communal (e.g. family room) area to hang out and relax after long day of skiing.

This home was beautiful on the inside and outside. It has all the amenities you need to feel like it is your own home. The in-floor heat was awesome and it made all the rooms so warm and not drafty like most homes I've rented before in the mountains. High end appliances, great bathroom and kitchen fixtures, and a personal hot tub really made it a great living experience while we were at the Black Wolf Chalet. The owners did a great job of furnishing the home and they provided all the dishes, utensils, and small kitchen appliances you need to prepare great meals. You can literally ski directly to the house without removing your skis and you can ski down to the main lift from the front doorstep. We loved our stay and would definitely return to this home again.

Kicking Horse is not best for beginners but if you are comfortable with blues, there is a path from the top which is gorgeous. You have to ski the bowl to believe it. We were blown away by how spacious the house was and also by the uniqueness of the house. Plenty of room for everyone. We stayed downstairs so never even went to third floor except to check it out. The kitchen and stove was awesome, the views spectacular. We used the jacuzzi every day. By far the nicest place I have ever stayed. Kicking Horse is a beautiful area so the views were spectacular as well. Try to swing by Radium Springs and Lake Louise while you're out there. Can’t wait to come back and stay here again!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Black Wolf Chalet. The house is well-laid out, very comfortable and spotless. The owner responded very quickly to any questions we had and refunded our security deposit extremely quickly (the next day). The ski in is perfect and, although we were unable to ski out as there was a lot less snow than usual, the trail down to the base of the gondola was literally a couple of hundred yards from the front door, making it a very easy walk. Kicking Horse is a great resort, the people all very friendly and the food amazing. We look forward to our return.

The house is a beautiful mountain home with luxury finishes. The furniture is comfortable and you can really relax after skiing all day. The hot tub is in a splendid setting and is very peaceful.

We were 2 families with three children. The bunk beds were a little high for our liking but our ten year old loved it. There is only one master bedroom. We would have preferred 2 bedrooms with ensuites but that is a minor inconvenience given our overall love of the house. There are sufficient bathrooms and showers that no one is waiting for a shower or the bathroom. There are plenty of towels and extra niceties like shower gel, laundry detergent and tissues, flip flops and towels for the hot tub. The house was very clean and in good order. The housekeeper is very prompt to answer to any issues.

We really appreciated the owner's amazing service. He refunded our security deposit even before we had unpacked (within 24 hours). He found us a fabulous babysitter, gave us restaurant recommendations and even tried to find us a cook (which we did not pursue in the end).

The ski-in at the end of the day was wonderful. Just a tip though - the easiest run back to the house (from the top of the Catamount chair) requires an easy traverse but then a ski down the bottom part of the blue run which may be challenging for beginner skiers. The ski-out is easy but may require a short walk downhill if there is not sufficient snow on the road. Overall though, this place is in the best position for a house at the base of the mountain.

The terrain at KH is really wonderful. There is a great beginner's area, excellent blue and black runs and great bowls with challenging runs. Intermediate skiers may find it challenging to step up to the next level at KH as some of the blues and blacks are steep.

We dined at Eagle Eye and Cedar House restaurants and thought the food and service was fabulous. Overall, we could not believe how good the food was everywhere we went. In the village, we loved the Peaks' cafe sandwiches and soup, and even at the yurt (mid-mountain) we enjoyed fabulous lunches.

A fabulous holiday. We will return!
