This a very comfortable cabin with all of the feel of being home. The beds are very comfortable. Cabin offers a fully equipped, spacious kitchen, and an awesome porch that offers a beautiful view. The setting is very private, and offers a real feeling of getting away from it all. Location is very convenient to Mt. Airy, NC (hometown Andy Griffith & Mayberry RFD), Hillsville, Galax, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Visiting the Rex Theatre in Galax on Friday night is a must! We live in Westminster, MD and the cabin offered a perfect setting and meeting point for visiting with our friends from McCormick, SC. Loved it!

We had a wonderful time at the MMMMT Nest Cabin! The owners have a peaceful mountaintop home that is well appointed and in such a lovely secluded setting. I will suggest that you arrive during daylight hours unless you are familiar with driving mountain driveways. It took a little getting used to for us flatlanders..LOL.
We had a great time in Mt. Airy. Our family grew up watching the Andy Griffith Show and it was fun to see the town Andy grew up in. We took the police car tour and were fortunate enough to have a guide who grew up playing with Andy. And the granite quarry was a sight to behold.
Mabry Mill was also very interesting and a pretty setting. Only one exit up on the Parkway made it very convenient to the cabin.
Meadows of Dan is a nice little town, definitely the jars of pie filling must be tried!
The rest of our time was spent enjoying the cabin. Marti was right. The hummingbirds are fun to watch. Just fill the feeder with the provided food and sit back and enjoy!
MMMMT Nest is a nice place to stay with accommodating owners. Give it a visit!

My sister and I took our parents to this storybook utopia on the top of a mountain for their 5oth anniversary. Our Father has Parkinson's diease and this getaway breathed new life into him. I haven't seen him smile like this in years! This is truly a cabin with a story. You can't help but walk around the deck and stare at the intricate details that went into the making of this truly unique home. We loved every minute of our stay and promised ourselves to come back in the near future.

Don't expect new apliances or elaborate bathrooms, but open your eyes to comfort, serenity, relaxation and some of the cleanest air you will breathe! Very clean and well maintained. I have recommended this property to everyone I know!

The owner was very helpful with everything and a dear to work with on this rental. The directions were perfect!
