Just got back from a "girls" week staying in the Villa Amarilla with my sister, my adult daughter and a friend. The property is gorgeous, well maintained, safe, quiet, and in an ideal location. Its only a two minute walk to the main road that runs from Quepos to the Manuel Antonio beachfront/park. The Villa's location is between those two destinations which makes it very convenient and quick to get to either. The bus stops there every half hour and the fare is only 50 cents. So glad I didn't rent a car, didn't need it at all. Also on that corner is Mono Azul, an open air restaurant with excellent Costa Rican fare, including a fantastic $5 breakfast. I am jealous my other daughter is going to be staying there in two weeks, I can't wait to go back! Oh, and the beds....the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on. That was a nice surprise. Highly recommend the Villa Amarilla. Manager Cynthia was very helpful and easy to reach for any needs. She also booked tours for us.
