Very comfortable house about 1 mile from the Beach

We traveled to Muskegon to stay at the Cherry House. We were quite pleased with the house and location. The house is a little older, but very comfortable, and the owner provided nearly everything one would need for a weeklong stay--we appreciated the extra little things. It is located about 1 mile from the very nice Lake Michigan Beaches, which was perfect for our boys (2.5 and 4 year olds). While it is possible to walk to the beach, we drove mainly to get closer to the playground on the beach. Speaking of playgrounds, there are tons, we visited over 15 different ones in the area. While we spent the majority of our time at the beach, we did spent an afternoon in the Mall which was quite nice, and we took a day trip (25 min drive) down to Grand Haven which has a very nice tourist shopping area. We also rented a pontoon boat down in Grand Haven. While we didn't take much advantage of the bike trails in the area they seemed very plentiful.

Perfect Vacation Cottage!

We rented this wonderful place on a complete last minute whim and were so pleasantly surprised by how lovely and well-maintained it was! The pictures don't do this place justice...it's so pretty and CLEAN. Our family has rented vacation homes everywhere from Cape Cod to the Carolinas and none have been this clean, well-appointed and full of charm. It had everything we could have needed and then some. Thanks so much, Linda for making us feel at home! We will definately be back!

Nice place!

We loved this house! So charming and cozy with all the comforts of home. We walked to the beach almost every day and also enjoyed the fire pit in the backyard. The kids didn't want to leave. :)
Owner's Response: Although the cottage is not on the water - it is lovely short walk to Pere Marquette Park where there are miles of pristine beach. Always a wonderful bonus when "kids" enjoy the cottage!! Please return.

Nice cottage and location for enjoying Mid-Lake Michigan

The cottage was a nice place to spend the week with our 2 young children. Although we were close to Pere Marquette Beach, it was not walking distance for our family. We enjoyed Pere Marquette Beach and all the parks close by. (I think we discovered a new park every day.) We were just a short drive and took day trips to Grand Haven, Michigan Adventure, Silver Lake Sand Dunes, and Pentwater, We enjoyed the fire pit and enjoyed a few evenings out by the fire.

Headed out to the beach, enjoyed the sun and water. Did barbeque and pit-fire. Everyone enjoyed the stay. We all enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back here.!

Martin and family along with his brothers and family arrived at this place. We joined them from Detroit. We were all tired, but the house made us feel cozy, homey and relaxing. CUTE LITTLE HOUSE!! BEAUTIFUL BACK YARD!!

You have an awsome place. We liked everything about it. The back yard, the paintings and all the interiors. I especially liked the book on decorating. That tells me that you are a person with that Midas touch in interiors. If ever I am passing by Muskegon, ever in my life, I would stop at this very place.
