Away from it all
Even though the house is right in town, it feels very secluded and a world away from it all. I live in a big city, so this was just what I was looking for! The house had a cute & cozy feel to it, I loved the way it was decorated, & was an overall unique home. The house was very clean and there were fresh flowers when we arrived. I loved waking up to the beautiful views of the water each morning out of the huge bay windows. I can only imagine how beautiful this home will be in the summer when everything blooms! My brother enjoyed walking down to the water, where he kayaked & even saw a starfish & jellyfish!
I also really enjoyed the location of the home because it's close to different activities, but still in driving distance to Seattle. The ferry is really close and definitely worthy of taking over to Seattle, where we enjoyed Pike's Place, the Space Needle, and a little bohemian neighborhood called Freemont. The drive to Seattle is pretty far though if you plan on visiting the city all the time. We also made a drive up to the Olympic Peninsula for a day and really enjoyed the scenery, Lake Crescent, and the forest in Port Angeles was so incredible with its greenery & moss everywhere! On another day we made a trip near Tacoma to the Northwest Wildlife Trek Park, which was much cooler than a zoo because of its natural settings.
