Lovely Family Vacation Rental

The house was just as described and better than the pictures. I would definitely recommend this rental to a friend, especially one with children. The beach and shallow water were perfect for my toddler to play on and she loved running around in the grass. The family room was perfect for lounging, the bedrooms were roomy and comfortable and the table sat our whole family (which is rare in a lake rental.) Found the home clean and well stocked with towels, linens, etc. We hope to rent again in the future!!

Best Vacation Ever

My family had the best vacation at this house. It is very spacious and clean. The HUGE beach is great for laying out, kids playing in the sand, fishing, having a nice fire at night, or just about anything you could think of. I was very impressed with all the toys and games they had there for the kids. Next year I can pack a lot less! Having 3 kids, I loved the fact that there was a vacuum, mop, and cleaning supplies on hand. I will definitely be going back for years to come!

Good space for the price

We found this house in good condition, no problems with that. The three bedrooms give you plenty of space for sleeping, we fit 6 adults and 4 small (under 5 years old) children with out a problem. The bathrooms were in good condition as was the rest of the house
The beach was great, some snail and it could get a little stinky because of the ducks, but over all it was really nice, and the water was super warm.
Only 2 problems with the rental, first was the trash issue:
The trash has to be separated for recycling purposes or you would be fined...this isn't a problem, I recycle at home but there wasn't adequate containers or space to do all this recycling and separating. So you end up with bag hanging around the small kitchen area. Second trash issue is that there isn't any trash pickup, so the basement stinks of trash (because you are instructed that you can't leave it in the yard) and there aren't any barrels to leave the trash in...flys end up being a major issue
the second problem, which isn't as big is that you have to notice that there is no dishwasher...it becomes a little bit of an issue with a house this size.
Overall a great property, but and worth the money (as long as they fix the trash issue, because you can get the trash picked up, the truck drove by)

We had a great time at the house. Unfortunately it rained 4 days but we still had plenty to do. The house was clean and neat. Thank you for a great time!

Well Kept Rental!!!

Rented weekend of September 19th 2009. The cottage was perfectly situated for what we were looking for. Two rooms upstairs, one downstairs and a pull-out couch. Would return to this cottage, the only negative would be the tv needs to be updated.

End of Summer Get a Way to Barnstead

I recently returned from a vacation at this property. This is the absolute vacation for those who wish to get a way from it all. Wendy the realtor is excellent, and Denise and Chris, the owners were marvolous! The house is large, clean and spacious. Very well decorated, comforatable and a very good value. The private beach is much larger than portrayed in the pictures. This house has everything one should need from Private beach, paddle boats, canoe, air hockey, golf, fire pit, kids games, grill, etc.. The people around the area are also very friendly. I loved how I took the paddle boat across the lake to take my family smimming in the associations sparkling clean inground pools!!!
If you are looking to get a way.... I mean really get a way from the hectic day to day of normal life this is the place to visit. I look forward to a visit next year!
