Excellent Review from Canada

A few of my high friends have been getting together annually in a different city for the last 30 years. This year was New York City and we randomly chose an apartment off Homeaway never knowing what we'd find. We've formerly picked dumps in New Orleans and a squeezebox in Chicago.

But One River Place was a fantastic choice. The view is priceless overlooking the Hudson (right where Sully landed his plane.) It's a short walk off Broadway but you'll want the solitude every night after the sensory overload of Manhattan. The place is huge (I believe our high school football team could've fit in here standing.)

There's a supermarket and CVS one block away. Breakfast is a short walk to the Midway Diner. Sports fans can hang out at Dalton's or Landsdowne. Your in hoof distance of great restaurants in Hell's Kitchen (Uncle Nick's, Soul Fixins, Amarone, Five Napkin).

The subway is down at 42nd and 8th when you need it. Cabs are readily available at the doorstep. My daughter goes to NYU and she walked up here from Washington Square (I'm too old to attempt.) There's some cool market on Sunday mornings around here she comes to.

There's a doormen and security in the lobby. The communications and dealings with the owners was perfect. This is a great place for families and reunions.

I will be back. It was worth every dime. Your feet always get tired visiting New York but here's a place we could put them up, enjoy the view and relive the 12th grade.

This apartment is ideal. We appreciated its comfort, cleanliness, modernity.
Its location is excellent: nice point of view, public transit available right out of the building, near Time Square, its central location in New York. Besides young people are out every night without any difficulty..

Our stay in apartment was fabulous. The apartment was roomy and very quiet. I have stayed in many different hotels in New York City and much prefer the apartment to the small hotel rooms. The apartment was very nicely furnished and I especially appreciated the nice linens and cleanliness of everything. The area surrounding the apartment seemed very safe and we enjoyed the nice coffee shops and easy access to the subway and buses. We would definitely stay here again on another trip.

We stayed for 6 nights in this wonderful appartment this summer. The location is perfect for exploring NYC. The appartment was clean, safe and has a wonderful view over the Hodson River. The appartment is very nice, almost perfect. If the kitchen had been a little better equipped, we would have given it top rating.

Some kitchen equipment was missing, but it is not a "big deal". This is a very good alternative to hotel, and we would definately look for this appartement next time we're going to NYC.

Perfect! The rental transaction was professionally done. Correspondence was excellent and very timely with all my inquiries. Upon arrival we were met by the owner Eric. We could not have asked for a more warm welcoming. The condo complex is new and very upscale. Most importantly it is located in a very safe area.Eric has done a beautiful job of furnishing the condo. On each floors of the complex there are washer/dryers for a minimal cost. There is a small mini mart attached to the complex and a Food Emporium (NY's chain grocery store) about three easy walking blocks away. For Starbucks lovers - it's just down the corner. The complex supplies a weekly free shuttle up 42nd street until 10am. The Metro bus is just outside the front door of the complex. The hub of Times Square is a healthy walk but safe and easy. Just across the street is the Hudson River and the Circle Line Cruise. You'll love the view of NY lights and the river from the condo windows or complex observation deck. We have rented numerous condo's and this experience definitely deserves an A+

Just returned from a week's stay. We were a group of 4 and cannot recommend highly enough. The apartment is furnished to a very high standard and we found the location ideal for tourist. There is nothing better after having a full day's sight seeing than to come back to a first class type accommodation and chill out.
Better than hotel - would certainly recommend and the owner is very very helpful.
