What a fantastic view !! A wonderful alternative to a hotel vacation. The suite is a little small, but the outdoor space more than makes up for it. Nature walk: (something we don't normally do), right outside the door. Close to downtown, Stanley Park (aquarium too!) and Grouse Mountain. At the end of the day, you can sit on the deck and look at the beautiful view, and you don't feel like you are in the city. Steve and Eva were wonderful hosts. thanks very much, we will definitely come back.

My family enjoyed our stay very much. The rental is quite compact, but had everything we needed, and is well represented in the photos on this website. The owners were friendly, helpful, and available to us, but also respected our privacy during our stay. The location is wonderful, adjacent to a beautiful park, with a fantastic view from the deck. It was a short drive to Stanley Park, Grouse Mountain, and the Farmer's Market at Lonsdale Quay, where we took the Aquabus into downtown. We would recommend this property to friends, much nicer for a family than staying in a hotel.

Gorgeous property in the best place on earth

You are in the last street in North YVR, standing in front of its last house, huge trees are your neighbours, it smells like cedar wood and you hear nothing but the wind in the trees and the birds, you have the breathtaking lookout over the downtown skyline - you know you arrived. A place you will love! The only disadvantage: You have to leave one day. In the meanwhile: Every second is worth to be enjoyed. Everything is just like on the photos. The best place to start or enhance your Vancouver experience. Thank you Steve and Iva! You gave us the honor to be your guests, we will give you all our recommendation. Hope to see you again soon!

We stayed at this location during the 1st week of 2010 Olympics. Apartment was cozy for the 4 of us and was suitable for our needs. We would definately stay again and recommend to our friends. View from deck was absolutely gorgeous. Very quiet neighbourhood on side of Grosse Mountain only minutes to bus stop, groceries and shopping. Hiking trail begins close to apartment. Owners who live on site were very helpful with advise on the area and offered their assistance whenever needed. We had none of the issues reported in the April review and we were surprised to read of their disappointment in this property. Certainly was not what we experienced. All is good at this Vancouver Mountain Top Holiday House.

not quite as advertised

" Although the view is impressive there is no central heating as described on offer and the deck is not private. The apartement, nestled behind the exterior staircase, is endowed with a noisy fridge, flourescent lighting and a polystyrene tile ceiling. The lamps did'nt work, the tub small, and the TV sits infront of the narrow living room window pictured above. The layout is zig zag and when you are four at the table you cant open the front door. It was quite cold and the oil heaters supplied by the owners tripped the fuse box. A miserable experience that we were obliged to abandon after three days leaving a non refundable deposit behind. Please, go to a motel instead.
Owner's Response: Please keep this review in perspective. These travelers had a horrible start to their vacation. Before arriving to our place they came from Vancouver Island wher they experienced stormy weather, power outages and motion sickness from the ferry. While at our place the bad weather continued which I believe makes everything look a lot less appealing. Please read other reviews before making your decision.

What can we say, your place is a dream vacation. You have the most beautiful view, your house is cozy and mostly your help and hosting your place is really wonderful.
The amazing thing about the location here, is that its close to everything you need to do. The weather was wonderful and sunny all week, and the area is so quiet and super clean.
Thank you for making the house very cozy, putting toys and games for the kids is a great idea. It really kept us busy when we were staying in the house. Everything in the house is complete. And even if it is not there, Iva made sure its available through her place.
We will miss you, and the kids will surely miss your kids as well.

Great view! Lovely apartment. We will always remember the hike to the top of Grouse Mountain, the orange markers and the tram ride down-Whew!!. Museum of Anthropology was great – neat to see Bill Reid’s Clam and Raven finished --it was a work-in-progress when I came through in 1974. Aquarium was fun as always. Apartment was nice and clean; hosts very friendly-not intrusive.
