Located on quiet rural road that is perfect for walking or biking. All ages adore! Boaters can launch your boat or rent a pontoon or fishing boat at Chimney Rock Marina 12 minutes from home. Golf courses are abundant in area or just sun, swim, fish or read a book. Naps are most definitely encouraged! Do some cooking in well stocked kitchen. Retail stores, restaurants, gas and alternate marinas within 10-20 minute drive. The 'World Famous Bourbon Trail is a favorite along with the great local Wineries or tour/dine at the beautiful Historic Shaker Village only 10 min. from home. cozy and comfortable!
This adorable house was the perfect place for our spring break getaway! The property is beautiful and the house had all the amenities we needed. We really appreciated how Jennifer helped us with things to do in the area and was available throughout our stay to answer questions.
I wish that the weather had been better while we were there so that we could have enjoyed the lake and dock more, but I would still definitely recommend this house to anyone looking for something cozy, comfortable, and quiet!

Peaceful, charming - Great getaway
My husband and I wanted a quick getaway after the craziness of Thanksgiving and found this quiet house. The owners of the home, Jennifer and Sean, were more than helpful in providing information about restaurants, things to do and what to see. We arrived to a very nice welcome basket with goodies and brochures/maps of the area which were very helpful. The house was very clean and property well maintained. The house sits up up on the hill overlooking the lake and it was exactly what we needed for a peaceful weekend getaway. I would highly recommend the lake retreat to anyone!

Great place to stay!
My family picked this place for my father's birthday and the KY Derby. It is everything Tammy describes it to be. We loved staying here. Some of our most favorite memories were on the large porch out back overlooking the lake. Tammy thought of everything we needed including games, kitchen needs, and linnens/sheets. The house was also very clean. Tammy was wonderful to work with as well. We would absolutely stay here again if we were lucky enough to return to the great state of KY!

Beautiful home but a STEEP walk!
The house was gorgeous. The kitchen, amazing. The only thing was a very steep walk to the dock. We had such a great time though. We were all adults, so it wasn't that big a deal, however if you have small children be aware the walk down to the dock is really steep. The owner is very accomodating though. Allowed us early check in! Master bed was very comfortable.

GREAT VACATION
The manager of this propery was FANTASTIC! She went above and beyond providing information of local attractions and kept in contact once we arrived to ensure everything was as promised. The house was fabulous - and you know it's been a great vacation when kids are begging to stay just a little bit longer. Thank you for a great family vacation.

Summer Getaway
My husband and I spent the week at the house with our little boston terrier. The house was perfect for our needs. Our little dog loved running up and down the hill to the boat. It was only an hour and a half drive from Louisville. The house was neat and clean and well equipped. Our cell phones didn't work very well which was actually a relief for us but did have wireless internet so we could catch up with work when we felt like it. We didn't feel like working very much. The lake is gorgeous and so quaint, we had a great time looking at all the cabins and the house boats and checking out the marinas. We sat out on the deck in the evenings and it was very quiet and peaceful. The lake is in a remote area but only about a 10 mile drive to get supplies if needed. We even drove into Nicholasville one night for dinner, about 26 miles and beautiful drive. The japanese steak house there is awesome! The owner was so helpful answering all of our questions about the area and made us feel very comfortable. Also the shower has a lot of pressure and gets nice and hot, a must when we travel for us! Our only regret is that we didn't bring our 13 year old son because he was on another trip. He would have loved fishing off the dock and exploring the lake. We will definitely come back again!

Great Experience
A small group of my friends were looking for a lake house for a weekend vacation at the last minute and discovered this property on the internet. The owner was very friendly and accomodating in allowing us to book this property at the last minute.
When we arrived, we were delighted to discover that the house was very nice and more than we expected. We had a wonderful time on the boat dock and swimming in the lake. There are two firepits to choose from and we enjoyed a night by the fire on the deck overlooking the lake.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience. We have no complaints and would highly recommend this property to anyone.

A BLAST!!!!!
I have so much to say! My family and I had a short break and got the incredible opportunity to stay in this beautiful house! This house had everything you could hope for from coffee in the cabinet, a grill out front, games, movies, fire pits, views, a small boat, life jackets and more. The owner hasn't left out one detail to make your stay here fun and relaxing. She is a sweet heart and took such good care of me and my family! Our pictures will always help us remember all the fun we had and how great it was to just enjoy each other as a family. I can't wait for the chance to go back! I'M RECOMMENDING THIS VACATION SPOT TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!!

Great Winter Vacation
Our family of 5 stayed the week after Christmas. Tamara had made sure that the home was warm and inviting. She even had the walks and drive shoveled prior to out arrival and contacted us the next day to see if everything was clear. The photos do not do the home justice. The home located within easy driving distance to several tourist attraction. You will not be disappointed with his home.

I appreciate the wonderful families and their friends that have visited and all have taken such great care of our home. Each group has become a part of "Our Home @ Normans Camp". It just feels like home. This group as many have come here with a bit of worry with renting site unseen and traveling sometimes quite far. I work hard to not disappoint & never misrepresent.
