Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us....the ride up was phenomenal...scenery spectacular...saw several deer that seem to welcome us to Big Canoe....your home had all the necessary items for us to feel right at home.....we had the TV downstairs and absolutely did not need it since we spent most of our time in front of the magnificent windows on the top floor....perfect place to read and just watch nature......our cousins who visited have had a tramatic year and this was the perfect place for them to reconnect with life.....hope to visit again real soon....so relaxed feels like I have had a month off.....

My family and I just spent a wonderful week at this lovely home in Big Canoe. We have used VRBO numberous times over the past few years - and this is one of the few times that the house actually EXCEEDED our expectations, and the reality was BETTER than the pictures!! With three kids ranging in age from a very active 6 year old boy to a pre-teen girl - this vacation had something for everyone - lots of hiking (several waterfalls within 15 min hike), exploring, hanging out by the pool, reading on the lovely tree-house-like deck, playing card games, doing puzzles - we all had a fabulous time. Big Canoe offered a plethora of activities, the house was beautiful and comfortable and the views were breath-taking. Make sure you carve out time to visit Amicalola Falls - stunning! The Mexican restaurant just across from the North Gate was excellent too (this coming from two Texans!)

Our family and the family of our neighbors and friends spent a week in Big Canoe with our 3 children. We had a wonderful time, the weather was great and it was so relaxing. Plenty to do if you like the outdoors. We hiked many of the trails and tried to see all of the waterfalls which are easy hikes (our children are ages 7, 9, and 12). The house really immaculate and feels like new. Nicely furnished and tasteful and the photos are very representative. We plan to do this again. Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

A beautiful family home in the mountains. We had a wonderful and restful retreat in the clouds at Big Canoe. The house is beautifully deocrated a great venue for a romantic weekend , My husband and I are planning to go back,
(great view of the sunset ) he loved it took pictures eveyday and has not stopped talking to his friends about the place.
The children had a great time , they woke up on Thanksgiving morning to five deer wondering around the front yard at sun rise. The Owners made us feel welcome and very comfortable , we got lost getting to the house so had to call , they soon set us on the right path thank you again .
If you are looking for an escape from the crowds , with wonderful scenery and all the comforts of home this is a great spot.

My husband and I stayed at this home for an extended weekend. We were there to attend a wedding but came for a couple of days early and stayed an additional day afterwards. We were very pleased with the accommodations - it is just as described. A newer and very spacious house we were surprised by what we got for the money.

It is about 10 minutes from the "community center" and the lake in the middle of the Big Canoe valley. An easy drive and the elevation provides for a breeze and nice views.

Big Canoe is truly beautiful. Green and perfectly maintained, with plenty to do if you like walking or hiking the trails along the streams and to the waterfalls. The main lake above the dam is one of the prettiest I've ever seen.

My husband and I and our 2 children spent a long weekend in Big Canoe. The house is in a convenient location but also very quiet with a nice valley view. It is really tastefully and nicely decorated and accommodating. We especially liked the well-stocked kitchen and the roominess offered for the price. There was lots of trails to explore and we enjoyed the pool one day and exploring the little communities around the Jasper and Ellijay area one sunny afternoon. We hope to come again.

First, this property is beautiful. Nicely appointed, very spacious, all the modern touches! It has everything you need to have a relaxing weekend. We LOVED the music system! The owner was very accommodating and promptly answered my many emails. Would recommend to others and I am looking forward to my next stay!
