Family Reunion

5 of 5
Submitted: June 23, 2011 Stayed: June 2011
This was a great place to hold our family reunion. We had people fly in from Colorado, Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Carolina. There were 14 adults and 5 children, ranging in age from 4 months to 92 years. We were a little worried about the 100 degree temperatures, but thankfully there was a lot of wind which saved us. Everyone enjoyed the swimming pool and paddles boats. Thank you for having the pools toys and life jackets for the kids to use. Really enjoyed watching the deer & wild turkeys in the evening and hiking the hills to see the cattle and the sunsets. The little kids had a fun time fishing in the creek and throwing them back. Lots of reminiscing and laughs. It was a wonderful time. Gig 'em Aggies

Owner's Response: Thanks for posting this great review! We hosted my wife's family's reunion there the very next weekend and also had a blast. The deer and turkey came to the feeder every morning and evening, and the longhorns and buffalo even came down off the hill once. It's amazing how the breeze blows through the valley every day to help make the heat tolerable. Frequent dips in the pool help too. I hope you visit us again sometime!

We had a wonderful time enjoying the ranch, from swimming in the pool, flying kites in the yard, playing tennis or basketball, or rocking on the porch. We made memories that will last a lifetime and will look back with big smiles and warm hearts to our time on the ranch.

Wonderful weekend

5 of 5
Submitted: May 4, 2013 Stayed: April 2013
I rented the ranch with a group of old friends for the Tough Mudder weekend. Several of us were supposed to run in the event but the ranch was so nice we decided to skip the event and enjoy our time there. The outdoor fireplace and seating area became our favorite gathering place, and with a tennis and basketball court available, we had a fun filled and active weekend without the Mudder. The ranch is larger than I anticipated. We hiked the ranch roads for about an hour and still had more to explore if we wanted. I would definitely recommend Henly Hill Ranch for a large family and friends gathering.
Owner's Response: Hey, thanks for the nice review! Glad you enjoyed the place. I think I'd also choose hanging out by the pool in the shaded pavilion area over crawling through 11 miles of muddy obstacles! :-) Hope you'll join us again next year.

Great Vacation Place

Submitted: September 20, 2012 Stayed: July 2012
Entry from on-site guest book: "Great vacation place. Close enough to town to get what you need, but far enough away to be on your own. Don't have to worry about neighbors disturbing you or you disturbing them. Everything you need is supplied and some things you would never think about. So much to do here or you can find something close by. Great week."

Third Time at this Texas Paradise

Submitted: September 20, 2012 Stayed: June 2012
Entry from on-site guest book: "Our third time and we love it even more. Our 8 adults and 7 children (ages 3 - 12) makes maximum use of the facilities and fill up the house. The first thing our grandchildren said is that we needed to buy the ranch! The response - 'Then it wouldn't be special' didn't fly with them. Everybody hopes to make it 4 years in a row! Hope we can make it work again! Thanks for all that everyone does to enable us to enjoy this Texas Paradise!

Family Reunion Three-peat

5 of 5
Submitted: June 27, 2012 Stayed: June 2012
For the third year, our family gathered at the Henly Hill Ranch near Dripping Springs in the Texas Hill Country for our Reunion in June 2012. We had a wonderful time in this idyllic location with natural beauty, sport facilities, and modern accommodations.
We had three generations from age 1 to 71 and there was something for everyone. Whether talking in the comfortable living room, eating at the large table, or watching wildlife from the covered porch we left our busy schedules behind. Swimming, playing basketball, or walking to the bluff to experience the sunset was a great opportunity to bond in fresh ways. Even though we enjoyed being together, the privacy of the comfortable and clean bedrooms helped us relax at the end of the day.
It was awesome to be together and our spirits soared in this uplifting environment. Thank you for making it available to us. We highly recommend it to others.

Family Retreat

5 of 5
Submitted: June 13, 2012 Stayed: June 2012
This was our 3rd and DEFINITLY not our last year to spend at "The Ranch". It is such a retreat for our family. We have been getting together each June for more that 25 years. Our family has grown from 8 to 18+. This ranch has given us the opportunity to all be together under one roof to canoe, swim, play tennis and basketball, and just sit on the porch for hours. Every year we keep growing and every year we keep looking for a larger place. I think it is summed up when one family member said, "We will never outgrow Dripping Springs". Thank you for opening your home to our June Retreat. We are forever grateful. When you are ready to add another bedroom and bath to the bunk house, we will be glad to add more family members. :) Again, thank you!!!

Great Getaway

5 of 5
Submitted: June 13, 2012 Stayed: June 2012
We rented this property to bring all of our managers together for meetings and bonding. Nineteen adults attended, and while some shared beds and we had four women in bunks, the property worked perfectly for us. We used the large living area and big screen TV for presentations, and then in the evening, played in the hot tub and pool. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to canoe or use the tennis court. The property is very well maintained, and stocked as if someone lives there. The ranch foreman was very helpful, and did a great job taking care that we had everything we needed. We would definitely rent again.

Family Oriented

Submitted: June 11, 2012 Stayed: August 2010
Entry from on-site guest book: "Thanks for a wonderful time and beautiful weather! Our annual family trip was much enjoyed by all and your accomodations fit us perfectly. We have been to many locations and we all loved your place. Loved all the room for the kids to run around in and then being able to jump into the pool. Loved looking at the livestock... especially the little buffalo. A very cozy and family oriented compound! The house was very comfortable with so many extras... tennis rackets, canoes, ect. The tennis court was a great place to corral our grandchildren."
