This property met all our expectations: Spacious (4 people max), nice kitchen with cooking possibilities (for a baby like us for ex), all furnitures and accessories needed to do so, cable TV when you are exhausted from your visits in NYC, internet access, a huge bed, space in front of it if you are carrying a bed for your baby, a transformable couch for a secondary bed in case you are two couples or you have a friend visit and last but not least, a very nice and spacious bathroom. Very nice decorated, simple but efficient. You feel like home in 5 min.
The appartment is 5-10min walking distance from UTICA station to take the subway line A which is convenient because it's mid distance from JFK Airport and High Street station, the first stop to the brooklyn bridge for a breath taking view of Manhattan. Fulton Station is next, letting you in the middle of the financial district. Midtown is about 30min train distance depending where you wish to stop with the A train.
Definitely a place that we would recommand because it's a very good rate in terms of quality vs. price.
Michelle (the owner) has been there when we needed her, so that's also a very important point not to neglect !
All together, my mark would be 8/10.

This studio apartment we stayed in was perfect for us. It was near the MTA ("A" train) and only a 20 minute ride into Manhattan. The apartment was clean, quiet and secure. Internet and cable worked as advertised and there were stores and restaurants within an easy walk. We were pleased and will rent this space again.

We stay for a week at this apartment. The apartment is fully furnished with TV, small kitchen with basic utensil and free internet. It was very closed to the subway (Utica Station about 10 minutes tops walking). Michelle was very quick to respond to our questions and needs. We had problem with the internet signal/connection and the water pressure. Michelle was quick to respond. She did not hesitate to send one of her property managers to take care of the internet connection issues. As far as the water pressure goes she got on the phone until the problem was resolved. We never had any issues with the internet or the water pressure for the rest of the week. It is comforting to know that if there was anything at all we needed we could always call Michelle. In regards to the apartment it is like the pictures on homeaway website. The bed was especially nice, comfy and soft. It was nice to come back to this apartment, after a busy day of traveling New York in the subway. Will most definitively stay again at her property. Thank You Michelle!

I liked the apartment very much. It was clean, comfortable and cozy. I was a little nervous never having been to New York City before but it was a pleasant experience. The neighborhood was quiet. We were able to park our car out front.(and there is NO parking in NYC. I will never try to drive anywhere in NYC again) We tried the two local restaurants as suggested by the owner and I enjoyed them. Seraghina didn't look like much from the outside but it was charming inside and the food was great. It was a short walk to the subway entrance in the park. Overall a really nice experience.

My husband and I took a long vacation to New York so we decided to rent an apartment. I found this apartment, and was interested because I loved the pictures AND the price. From the get go Michelle was super helpful, and laid back. Any questions I had about the apartment, area, and airport she would quickly and happily respond. We got in earlier then the check in time, but she said it was fine to drop our luggage off. I thought this was very nice. At a hotel you wouldn't have this luxury. The apartment its self was great. It was clean, and had everything we could need. She left us detailed notes about the train, restaurants and the apartment. We found this extremely helpful. We loved the neighborhood, and would move there. The only complaint I have, and it's minimal, is that as tourist we were kind of far from everything, and we meant to spend our time in Brooklyn. The train was very close though, and in a great little park. We would most certainly stay here again.

We stayed in Michelle's studio for a few days in November and were very happy with everything. The place was spotless, well equipped and everything truly looked just like in the pictures.
Even though the apartment is not in Manhattan, you can easily get there by subway in about 30 min. The same subway directly goes to JFK airport, which is super convenient. In the immediate neighborhood there is a nice restaurant and a cafe, so everything you need!
Overall, we would definitely recommend the place and stay there again!

The one bedroom apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Very convenient location to the A train to get all over Manhattan and was nice to be able to come back from the busy city and stay in such a quiet place to get a good nights rest. It was a good value for the money. Just one thing....while the bed in the bedroom was very comfy, the pullout couch and small cot bed mattresses were not, so if you want comfortable sleeping arrangements, this apartment is best suited for 2 people probably. We stayed at this lovely studio for about a week in spring 2011. Since it was my fifth time to come to NY City, I've seen sleeping in Manhattan and wanted to stay in Brooklyn. What a good thing to do.
Bed-Stuy is a great place to come after a busy day in Manhattan. Everything you need is right there. Restaurants, groceries, coffee shop and the metro just a few blocs away. We also did some cooking in the studio and we took our breakfast here.
So if you want to come to Manhattan, but want to escape from it in evening/night, this is a good thing to do !!
