When we were looking for a place close to home to go on a quick vacation we began searching for condos in the Dells area. Holy Cow! There are so many to choose from! We decided on this unit because it stated that it was situated 'on the beach' and with two teenage girls I thought it would be the perfect spot. My husband and I had alot of business work to get done so we wanted the girls to be out of the way and out of our hair, for the most part.
I didn't really expect the condo to be 'on the beach' because we've learned from experience that alot of these ads can bend the truth just a bit. But I figured even if the unit was 'close' to the beach that would be good enough. Lo and Behold! The unit is RIGHT ON THE BEACH! Five feet from the front door to be exact! How wonderful!!
My husband and I would get up in the morning, grab our coffee and laptops and sit on the front porch...ON THE BEACH!... (pull the sheer curtains to dampen the sunlight on some mornings) and work until the kids got up -- usually just about lunch time!
It was the best working vacation we've ever had. And badly needed!
The condo was spotless -- the king size bed and jacuzzi was a pleasant surprise to the girls -- after an afternoon in the dells they needed a nap, of course!
The ducks were so much fun and the indoor pool was big enough for me to get my laps in.
I loved this place! I hope I can remember it when it comes time to take another vacation close to home.

We had a great time in the Dells, and the condo was perfect for our family. It was close to all the attractions, but yet was a relaxing respite to go home to. The beach was great, our kids enjoyed jumping off the swim deck and playing in the sand. It is just steps out from the condo. The condo is very clean and well maintained, the bed is comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. It was nice to have the washer and dryer in the unit. We used the outdoor grills and picnic area and the patio was a nice place to watch the sunset. The neighbors are helpful and the resort was quiet while we were there. We would definitely stay there again, the owners were very nice and accommodating to us.

The owner was really nice and accommodating for a pretty late reservation. They use a key pad lock on the door which also make things really convenient for checking in! The kitchen was stocked with most everything you could need and we enjoyed being able to eat and cook at the condo for all but one meal. The condo is also literally steps from the lake. We were able to lay on the beach chairs with our feet in the water and go swimming in the warm lake. The AC was nice and cool as well! We also learned how to take the back roads to Noah's Ark...made it really convenient to come back for a healthy lunch!

This was our first time using VRBO and it makes me want to try it all of the time!

We recently spent four days at the condo and it was a great time. We had four sunny 70 to 80 degrees days in October!

Here are the highlights:

1) Right next to the beach. You can literally step out your door and be right on the beach. The water is a bit cold by this point, but it was nice to pull up a chair and read. Also, our baby enjoyed playing with the sand, looking at the ducks and also trying to eat sand, rocks, twigs etc. Lake Delton was pretty busy on the weekend so there is a steady stream on boats, pontoons, canoes, army duck tours etc. However, in the morning and weekdays the lake is pretty empty.

2) There is a nice picnic patio with grills and firepit outside. One night I made baby back ribs and we had a nice fire with smores as night fell and we looked over the water.

3) Well stocked kitchen. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and we saved a lot of money by having some meals inside the condo. There are plenty of pots, pans, and casserole dishes; also there is a dishwasher, ice maker, etc.

4) Indoor fireplace. We brought along a 6 hour duraflame log and it gave us a nice fire in the evening. Many places have gas fireplaces which I think are a little tacky. The good old fashoined fireplace was a nice touch.

5) Big whirlpool in the bedroom. Unforntunately we didn't take advantage of this. I forgot to flip on the water heater breaker switch until it was too late. However, the whirlpool is huge and there is a smaller flat screen tv in the bedroom that you can watch from it as well.

6) Indoor pool and jacuzzi. The complex has a nice heated pool area with a jacuzzi. We were there in the off peak season and there was hardly anyone in it ever. We went swimming at least twice a day.

7) Close to restaurants. The Del Bar is less than a mile. Great friday fish fry. Also porta vista is close with great bar food.

Couple of things to keep in mind. Since it is a condo complex, you are surrounded by property owners which makes it slightly different than staying at a hotel or other resort where there are all guests. There are some minor rules about quiet hours and you might want to make an extra effort to clean up after yourself in the common areas.

The condo gets plenty of sun in the morning and if you can get up early enough you can catch the sun rise. It is also pretty kid friendly. Our 1 year old had a great time crawling around.

The owner is helpful and accomodating and a pleasure to work with!

We spent this weekend in the Dells to see the fall colors and do some golfing. It was a little too early for the colors,but the golf in the area was excellent and challenging.We really enjoyed our stay at your condo. We have rented thru VRBO many times, in many states and have always been pleased with the accomodations,but we have never had one as nicely equipped as yours was. The condo was immaculate and the decor really complimented the area.It was so nice to sit on the shelterd porch and have a cup of coffee or breakfast in the morning, after a nice long walk ,and watch the ducks and geese,go by.It was such a georgeous view.The indoor pool and hot tub area was exceptionally clean and warm.We really enjoyed it after walking 18 holes on a cool day.We also appreciated the nice jacuzzi and ammenities offered in the condo.We did eat dinner out every evening and enjoyed your recommendations,but it was nice to see the electric grill on the deck,had we decided to cook.We had a wonderful stay at your condo and are already thinking about coming back next fall.

We visited with another couple and had a blast! The condo was extremely clean and well equipped with everything we needed for a nice, relaxing vacation, including games to play! The view from the condo was beautiful and we were only steps away from the beach. The location is amazing since it is right in the heart of the Dells. It was also very convenient to not have to worry about a key to the condo. We were only there for a couple nights and were still able to enjoy both the indoor and outdoor pools, the fire pit, the picnic area, and the raft in the lake. This will be weekend we will always remember! We plan on returning very soon.

This property is totally equiped with whatever you need to relax. There is a large well equiped kitchen, King bed, and a two person hot tub. We never cooked as we either ate out or had food delivered but the blender and bottle opener got a work-out! In the morning we would sit on the porch drinking our morning coffee and watching the mallards swim on Lake Delton with their brood of ducklings. We enjoyed our stay so much that we added another night and played hooky from work the next day. Did I mention we relaxed? Wisconsin Dells gets quite busy on weekends and we started our stay on a Sunday when most of the people leave for home. We pretty much had the condo complex and beach to ourselves. A couple of the retired neighbors live there full-time during the summer and are very helpful! There is a common area less then a 100 ft away with several tables and communal gas grills for use by the residents and guests.

About the only draw-back to the condo (if there is one) is that there are quite a few stairs to navigate in order to get to the condo. However, there is an elevator for those people who are step-impaired.

We will definitely be back this fall as we lent the local casino some of our money and we're supposed to come back and get it!

PS........... There is a bar called Port Vista which is only about a mile away and serves very good food at a resonable price. I would recommend eating there and try their 32 ounce steak!
