Amazing house and location, friendly owner

We loved everything about our stay. The house is wonderful -- open, breezy and cool, beautifully and intelligently designed and filled with amazing art. It's a great place to cook, and both the indoor and outdoor dining spaces are great and festive places to eat. We had excellent weather, but would have been happy to've been stranded at home. The immediate lawn, meadow, and trail to the pond are quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. We did not explore the property as much as we could have, or take immediately local hikes, but heard from neighbors and friends that there's a public trail within walking distance of the house that is spectacular, and there are numerous great trails within short (10-15 minute) drives. The drive to Woodstock was less than 15 minutes, and I don't think the location could be much better--we went everywhere we wanted to go and never spent more than 45 minutes in the car, usually no more than 25. Judy was incredibly responsive to all of our questions, immediately addressed any issues or concerns, and left us great advice about local attractions and events; the house and property were clean and well-maintained. A couple of caveats--the wonderful stairs can make it a bit challenging for parents with active toddlers or stair-enthralled babies, though there's enough to keep them entertained elsewhere. Anyone with stair difficulties, who wishes to come and go a lot, might have difficulty with the house, but it's definitely do-able, as the main floor has everything on one level.
Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your review! I'm glad that you enjoyed the house and had time to travel the area; there is so much within reach. Next time perhaps you can do some hiking, it's great even just up behind the house.
I appreciate your feedback about the stairs. I'll get some easy to put up and take down (or step over, for adults!) child gates. People who have trouble walking up or down stairs have stayed in the main floor bedroom, but I do advise them that access to the lawn, pond and woods is limited, and there is no bathtub on the main floor, only a shower.
Your family would be very welcomed back next summer!
