Modern, recently built and fully equipped private detached cottage, centrally located - close to the ocean, airport, diving and restaurants.

This modern one bedroom home really has it all, with an open plan kitchen/living room that flows to the covered porch through an expansive triple, sliding glass door. The cottage was built to take advantage of the trade winds that will keep the place cool throughout the day. 2 split air conditioning units in the living room and bedroom + 2 ceiling fans are also standard.

Some of the other amenities include: Cable TV, DVD player with an extensive DVD library, free secure wireless internet access throughout the property - (just bring your laptop) access is available in the cottage, at the pool or while relaxing on one of the lagoon docks, 110v and 220v electrical outlets, and a very large private outdoor fully enclosed shower that leads directly to the bedroom - shower under the stars in complete and total privacy....

Parking: Our deeded spot is directly in front of the cottage - no walking with gear to a lot somewhere outside of a hotel/condo.... Just 3 steps to the car....

Don't forget mosquito screens when booking. It can turn a great vacation into pure misery! Many places have nothing or only partial coverage to keep them out. ALL of our windows and doors are equipped with screens as well as a full door mosquito screen to cover the massive 3 sectional front slider.

Our detached cottage is situated in a gated secure lagoon resort on a private peninsula that leads directly to the Caribbean Sea. Palm trees and tropical foliage surround the cottage providing privacy for those lazy evenings on the porch or in the outdoor shower. The surrounding lagoon also has 7 private docks that can be used for mooring a boat while on vacation with absolutely no dock fees. Rent a boat for a day or week and pull up to your own private dock within the property.

In the center of it all is a beautiful fresh water pool with waterfall and multi level lounge area that can be found empty many times during the day due to the small size of this private and unique gated resort....

THINGS TO REMEMBER TO ASK WHEN BOOKING:

-- Does the home have FULL mosquito screens throughout? Many places unfortunately do not....

We have full mosquito screens on EVERY door and window....

-- What other fees are added to the cost that are NOT reflected in the original quote Ex - End Cleaning Fees, tourist tax fees per person, per day, electric/water use fees not reflected in the contract or rate. Electrical use is EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE on this small island. A very low rate without an electrical use allowance can turn into a financial disaster upon check-out....

We have all fees included in the price of the cottage. There are no hidden fees - What you see is what you get....

-- Internet/cable: Is it high speed, included in the quote, wireless?

We have free high speed internet and cable included. You will not be stuck sitting in the lobby of a hotel or looking for a wifi hot spot somewhere on the island...

-- Does the place have private indoor and outdoor shower areas and is the outside shower FULLY enclosed or partially open to see from outside?

We have a beautiful, fully enclosed large private outside shower area with lockable mahogany doors for complete and total privacy...

-- Parking: where is the parking in relation to the house?

Our parking is right next to the cottage for easy gear loading and unloading...

-- Security: Is the place a gated community or open to the public?

We are in a fully enclosed private gated community that has no public access. Most, if not all of the hotels are public access. We also have an oversized safe that will accommodate most laptops and oversized cameras (along with other valuables)...

Magical Trip to Bonaire!

We loved the house and the community. It was absolutely perfect. The village was beautifully maintained and the neighbors were extremely friendly and helpful. The owner provided terrific referrals for everything from dining to rental cars.

I simply can't say enough good things about our trip and our stay in this home.

If you plan to dive, Tropical Divers was the best!

We really can't wait to go back to Bonaire and would definitely stay in this home again.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of a week-long romantic getaway - and we couldn't have asked for a better, more beautiful space. The condo itself is in a secluded, thoughtfully-planned development right off the main road. The unit is incredibly well-equipped with just about every kitchen amenity you could ask for (a juicer, even!), and the construction and styling of the space is wonderfully modern.

The owner and management are stellar - we felt so cared for and welcomed. We will absolutely come here again if we're lucky enough to return to Bonaire - we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We have stayed a many different places over the years in Bonaire and this was by far the best. Clean, well maintained, the perfect size for two people and very secure. The pool was nice and we really enjoyed using it instead of going to the beach to layout after diving. Outside shower was really nice too. Plenty of towels and linens. The on site manager was very helpful and responsive. I highly recommend the property and will stay again.

Excellent property in very convenient location

This is an above-average property in a quiet gated community. Very secure, well maintained and conveniently located adjacent to Flamingo Airport. The listing description is very accurate, and dealing with the property owner was easy, efficient and friendly. Customer service was top-notch. Security deposit was very promptly returned the day after check-out.

The furnishings are comfortable (the mattress on the bed is quite firm) and all appliances are in a near-new condition. All windows features mosquito screens which were appreciated.

This property features a beautiful front porch nestled into the communal gardens of Waterlands Village. Very nice outdoor furnishings with comfortable cushions made for many enjoyable evenings. The outdoor shower is wonderful after a day of diving or beach going.

The property was excecptionally clean, lots of towels (both shower and pool) were provided and I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend this property to friends/family.

Bonaire is small, so everything is pretty close by and convenient. On several occasions we walked into town and it took less than 15 minutes to get there (door to door).

Bonaire scuba trip

My girlfriend and I went to Bonaire for the first time for a scuba vacation. This house was a fantastic place to stay. It is new, close to the airport and to several dive sites. The staff at the Waterlands were very helpful and we felt very secure staying here. The price for the house was very fair, and we would definitely stay here again.

A Little Slice of Heaven......:)

We had a great time! Loved the open airy feel of the cottage. I already miss the Caribbean breeze that flowed throughout the cottage. The screens came in so handy especially at dawn and dusk. The kitchen is well stocked even thou we eat out every night at the fabulous restaurants. The bathroom is updated with granite tops and mahogany cabinets. We rented scooters and toured the island
one day….so much easier to do then trucks/cars…especially at night looking at the stars and feeling the breeze….I wanna go back!!! We truly enjoyed our stay and felt at home in this lovely cottage! We highly recommend this cottage. Book it...you will love it!!!

Wow! What can I say an awesome vacation and what made it more special were the owners. Kudos to ya for the wealth of information you provided on car rentals, places to eat, shop and things to do. Our cottage was beautifully situated within the community. Pool was refreshing and enjoyable. The cottage is extremely comfortable with a beautiful Caribbean breeze throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with spices, appliances, pots, pans, etc. We were able to store 2 laptops, a camera, Ipod and few other items very easy in the safe with room left over. Plenty of sheets, towels and blankets are provided. We even enjoyed your fabulous DVD selection. The outdoor shower came especially handy when arriving back from the awesome dive spots throughout. We will be back….you can be sure of that!!!

Perfect location for a little R, R, and R!

This property was perfect for a week of rest, relaxation, and romance. The location was quiet, but close enough to restaurants, groceries, and other activities. My favorite part was the porch with it's two chaise lounges which were ideal for reading in the afternoon with a nice breeze to keep you cool. On two different days, I even had the luck to see two yellow shouldered parrots flying around the area. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare any meal, and the rest of the cottage is clean, open, and inviting. My husband and I would highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Vacation!!

There aren't enough stars to possibly rate how wonderful our trip to Bonaire was!!! This home was EXACTLY as you see it in the pictures (new, clean, and just simply wonderful)!! I would recommend anyone to travel to Bonaire whether you are looking for an amazing Diving adventure or just to get away and relax…you can find all of that on Bonaire. As someone who has traveled quite a bit and experienced many islands in the Caribbean Bonaire is by far the most beautiful place I have been and the ONLY place that I have been that I would go back to every year (as this is our plan)!! I can't wait to go back to this "un-touched" island as it is so breath taking! I hope that you enjoy your time in Bonaire at this wonderful home!!

Private Paradise!

My husband and I just returned from Bonaire and stayed in this villa. It was absolutely great and Toni (one of the owners) was amazingly helpful in helping us with our millions of questions about the island. The accomodations are modern but still comfortable and you won't miss a thing once you get there. I was also really impressed with the security of both the villa and the Waterlands Village as a whole.

While there are mosquito screens on most windows/doors in the villa, there is not one on the main sliding glass door (that we saw). We tried to keep them out but some still got in, which is to be expected. I am also like prime rib to mosquitos, so I had it worse than my husband that only got a bite or two. Just make sure to bring LOTs of sunblock and LOTs of mosquito repellant as the lack of either of these two items has potential to make for a rough go of your vacation!

Though the Waterlands are located very close to the airport, we barely heard a peep from the planes and it was a very convenient location overall. I highly recommend this place! Thanks Toni!
