This cottage was simply wonderful!! Perfect just for two!! And having bikes available to ride around the island was great! Will be coming back!!

Overall, my husband and I had a wonderful time staying at Zillies in Ocracoke. The owners are nice enough to let you use two beach cruiser bikes and a kayak while staying there, which was a great perk. The house is just as advertised-- a small, free-standing one-bedroom beach house. There are two beautiful porches, which were nice to relax on after a long day at the beach.
Our only (very small) complaint was that the two pans that you could use to cook eggs in were fairly old and not non-stick. We cook a lot and it was difficult to make food in them. Again, this is a very minor complaint for an overall wonderful week on the island. Also, I recommend using the outdoor shower because it's much more spacious and it's nice to feel the breeze. We definitely enjoyed our stay!

AWESOME COTTAGE!!

My husband and I just returned from ZILLIES for a week, and what an INCREDIBLE vacation.Our first day there, we had a minor plumbing problem, in which the owners personally took care of,by FLYING in their plane to Ocracoke to fix it themselves. A truly delightful couple, and one's that REALLY care about their cottage and their renters. The cottage is simply adorable...Very compact,and nicely laid out. The bed was SO comfortable. and that shower was beyond belief.I think I ended up taking 'bout two showers a day,just as an excuse to use it.VERY good resturants,DAJIO and THE FLYING MELON being our two favorites.Be sure and get the clam chowder and pumpkin cheese cake from DAJIOS.Service at both places was TOP NOTCH! We went every day to those beautiful beaches, also did some fishing, and clamming.All in all we have a great time and hope to repeat it some time soon.Thanks Jeff and Wendy for everything.Gloria and John

Honeymoon Relaxation

We had a wonderful time at Zillies.We were on our honeymoon and it rained everyday BUT we still had great food, great wine and great company. The house is just the right size for 2 people. Loved the kitchen! BUT the most coolest thing is defiantly the outdoor shower! I would recommend this property to anyone and hopefully we will be back again! Thanks for letting us stay

My husband and I stayed at zillies cottage. I would say that this was the best place he and i stayed. We will be returning to Zillies again. Enjoyed all the highlights that Zillies had to offer . We loved that zillies pantry was in front of us. The porchs that are attached were the highlight of our evenings. The sun rise from the sound is a sight that eveyone should see. My husband and I went to the marina to watch the sunset. We have some amazing pictures that will be displayed in our home soon. Zillies cottage is the prime place to stay on okracoke island. We plan to make this trip yearly. This was our 2nd time on the island. 1st time staying at zillies, but there will be more stays to come for us. Thank you Jeff and Wendy for opening up the cottage to us. We truly are in love with the island and your place. Looking forward to staying again.

What an awesome cottage. Zillies was first class all the way and exactly what we had hoped it would be. The weather was perfect, the beach was deserted and having our little hideaway at Zillies made the whole trip perfect. We will be back!
