You may hold dates if 90 days in advance or more with only a $500 deposit. If within 90 days full payment is due to secure reservation (exception Christmas and New Year Weeks payment due 6 months prior). Cancel prior to 90 days before your dates will only incur a 3% cancellation fee of the deposit amount, so will cost you just $15. Therefore reserving ahead is highly recommended, even a year or so in advance. This not only gets you the dates you want but also locks in the price which as you can tell from my calendar with demand so high, it is very likely rates may go up. There are very few homes with a pool and other comparable amenities for rent in Tahoe and ALL that I have found have rental costs considerably higher then my home.

House History: Well people ask so here is. House built in 2000 and designed as a luxury vacation rental with amenities like no other. The designer had it right because what sets this house aside from so many other choices are the unique amenities. I bought the house in 2004 and still had guests on the calendar so I gave it a try. The house has always rented more often, far above other houses. When I decided to no longer use a management agency in late 2007 I forwarded the savings on to the guests. The house has since booked much more often than ever despite the economy. Everyone Loves the home, thousands of guests have stayed here! Pricing compares to houses similar in size but without the amenities. So why stay in just any house when you can stay in a 'Castle'? My best deals are if last minute, meaning within 7 days, when if you do not see dates booked then I will discount and make you a great deal! These deals are rare though so if you want your choice of dates plan well ahead. Always just ask me anything.
Availability Calendar: I don't know why but this website chooses to display confusing angle shaded calendar dates that make it difficult to know if some nights are rented or not. Easiest thing to do is simply contact me and I'll always make everything perfectly clear, don't be shy.

I'm semi-retired and manage this home all myself. I'm devoted to my guests and pay attention to detail. I understand your vacation time is valuable and memories made with family and friends are precious. I'm happy and proud to have enabled many hundreds of folks to enjoy 'The Castle' for years now and look forward to many more.
Well the only other homes I have found with an indoor private pool and comparable amenities have been priced quite a bit higher. I know that management expense adds to the price. Since I do it all I keep the prices at a very fair value. One can expect to pay the same for a lot of homes of similar size...but without a pool, steam and sauna. So why stay in a regular house when you can enjoy a Castle?!
