Arrived on schedule 3/7/2013. House was clean and tidy and setup to meet our needs, with a few notable exceptions:
* The condition of the cookware and cutlery was unacceptable, and I was a bit dismayed as I had asked the Property Manager, and his wife about this and was assured the kitchen was well stocked "with all the items you could ever need and all was in good condition" the very night before we arrived!
* I had noted previous review about bed/matress conditions and asked about this as well.. was assured the complaint was from a very much overweight individual and that matresses were is great condition. Three out of the Four beds were terrible, with little support and beyond their service life. The Master Bedroom was acceptable and the futon pull-out was good.
* The house hot water heater was totally inadequate to support more than 2 or a max of 3 showers in a 2 hour period. Much less if the dishwasher was ran or washing machine used. Larger waterheater, elec fast-recovery or gas would be needed to support more than 4 guests, house was billed as 10 - 12 guest capable.
* Also had noted past guest complaints about the controls for Heat & A/C. I was assured this was a "simple thermostat" and past problems were "operator error". I can tell you that 8 adults, many with vast computer experience were totally frustrated by the complex controls, and by the total lack of any type operating instructions or directions !
* The lake levels were very low and no use of the inlet or docks was possible.
* Previous house guests or neighbors had allowed pet droppings to remain in the back and side yard areas. I had a service dog and a very small dog and found this to be totally unacceptable as I spent more time cleaning up after past guests pets than my own. House keeping should be alerted to do a simple walk-around and advise manager or departing guests of their contractural agreement to clean up after their pets !

The Willis area roads were under massive construction plans but access to shopping and local resturants was EXCELLENT !

House was very comfy with adequate and well placed furniture for multiple guests.

Even with low lake levels the giant mosquitos made outside usage in the evenings very uncomfortable. A bug light or zapper would be welcome addition !

House had 2 1/2 baths and this was extremely convenient !

All in all a great stay that could have been wonderful if we had known real conditions of cookware and cutlery.

Overall, the house was pretty nice. It had a large 60" television with a netflix account included, there was enough room to park 4-5 cars which was great.

- A few complaints or just information you should know before renting:
Most of the bedrooms are fairly small and will only comfortably accomodate 1 person each (excludes master).
- Kitchen was fairly well stocked with pots and dishes, although if you enjoy cooking the quality of cookware will probably not impress you.
- We left the airconditioning set below 70 degrees the entire time and the lower half of the house was comfortable, however, even when setting the A/C to 60 at night the upstairs bedrooms remained fairly warm and slightly unpleasant.
- My biggest complaint is the quality of mattresses. The mattresses were older vintage spring built with several springs broken on each, if you have back problems or simply want to avoid them I would suggest not renting the house.

If you are looking to save money over renting several hotel rooms for a week this is a nice option, but if you enjoy the finer things in life (or just things you expect like a comfy mattress) then find another option.

Apparently the owner of this house had a bad experience with a party crowd before we arrived. The first couple of our party to arrive had to clean the kitchen and bathrooms and sweep the floors. The refrigerator and microwave and toilets were not clean at all. We also had to clean any and all dishes that we used during our stay. While its extremely unfortunate for him as the owner that he had issues with a party crowd, we do not feel that it should have affected the cleanliness for our stay and to use that excuse is unacceptable. It actually should have been more of a reason to make sure there was a thorough cleaning done. After all cleaning the refrigerator, microwave, toilets/sinks and vacuuming floors once we arrived only took 30 to 45 minutes - very doable for any cleaning service.

We were also very disappointed in the "cove." It is NOT accessible by boat at all. There are weeds grown up in the cove because of the low water levels last year. We were disappointed in this because we were looking forward to the waterfront activities for the kiddos. We were able to put our boats in at the ramp down the street; however, that water is very shallow as well....about 2 feet. The overflow parking is close by and is very necessary since no on-street parking is allowed in the subdivision.

According to the owner, the thermostat in the house is programmed for 78 degrees at night...be sure to obtain instructions from the owner on how to adjust!! It made for some very uncomfortable nights of sleeping.

On a brighter note, we did have three families, at total of 14 people, stay in the house, and there was room for everyone! We enjoyed our weekend despite the disappointments.

We used the property as a base for our daughters wedding in Houston.The facilities and location where excellent. The house was equiped to a very high standard the family couldn't have asked for more

Very clean, very roomy, very nice! Peaceful area, not too far from civilization, but you wouldn't know it sitting in the back yard. Having a wireless connection was a nice perk!

I recently stayed at the lakehouse with my girlfriends and it was PERFECT. Very spacious, everything we needed, and comfortable enough for us all. I will definitely go back again!!

Our girls weekend was so perfect. Down the road from great restaurants, but the house and neighborhood make it seem like you are in the middle of nowhere. The fishing was excellent, just don't use bread because you'll catch one of many turtles. I slept on the daybed and have to say it was the most comfortable mattress of any rental house I've ever stayed in. Some other important things of note: lots of towels, plenty of comfy couch space, roomy garage,HUGE TV!, and more than helpful owners. Will come back and stay again. Thanks!!!

I spent the weekend in this lovely house with a great group of girlfriends. We fished, talked, hung out on the patio, drank, and ate. The house is gorgeous and wonderfully maintained. The bedrooms are comfortable with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen is modern and has every amenity you will need. My favorite part was the fact that we were able to have eight women take showers back to back and still have plenty of hot water!

The area is nice and the renters are very accomodating. Highly recommend!
