Cottage with Million Dollar View Overlooking Eastern Harbor.

This lovely cottage consists of three bedrooms and one bath. . The main floor includes a large eat-in kitchen, living room, bedroom with full bed and a bath. A small room on the main floor has a sofa bed. Upstairs hosts two bedrooms, one with an air mattress in a frame and the other has a twin bed. The patio doors off the living room lead out to a deck with views of several islands, a wharf and the village of South Addison.

This quaint ocean side village is located on a peninsula and was founded in 1746. It consists of a town landing and a working wharf where lobstermen sell their catch of the day.

This is an ideal location for a family to experience life away from commercial tourism and get back to nature or for a couple that just want to get away.

Bring your kayaks and bicycles, breathe fresh ocean air and enjoy the serenity.

Peaceful Getaway

Terrific getaway for a couple for a week or a weekend. My wife and I stayed at Crown Cottage for a long weekend, and didn't want to leave. The peace and quiet was amazing, and the views and morning walks were an experience of a lifetime. We will definitely be back. Although the cottage was an hour's drive to the Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park area, the benefit is that it is away from all the touristy/high traffic areas, so we got the real feel of rural coastal Maine. Jackie is a wonderful host, and we appreciated her hospitality!

we stayed at the cabin for eleven days in aug 2010. the cabin was way more than what the web site says it is. the weather was perfect and the view was breath taking. every thing you could ask for was in the cabin. lobsters are availble and cheap. had a wonderful time and will be back nex year. the lobster shack in columbia is the place to eat. the fried clams were the best i had up there.there is a lobster boat that takes people out and was well worth the money.would recomend this cottage very highly.

What A Wonderful Place!!!

My fiance and I stayed at this cute cottage back in July. Our only regret...that we didn't stay longer! We rented the place for only two nights, but decided that if we are ever back in that area to rent it for a whole week. It would be a better deal that way. Nightly or weekly rates can't be beat for what you get. Wonderful views! Cozy interior! The first floor is a bit more up-to-date then the second floor, which includes two bedrooms. The first floor includes the third bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dinning area, living room, laundry room, and a deck with sliding glass door. The view out back is out of this world!!! The owner Jackie could not have been more helpful and friendly. Lobsters were running about $3-$4 a pound at the time. You can rent this place at a great rate. Buy lobsters right from the docks and eat like a king. Steamers were also dirt cheap. Dan & Em

Nice Quiet Stay

If you're looking for an escape from noise, pollution or just want to slow down and enjoy unspoiled land then this could be the place for you.
The cottage is clean, cozy and offers a great view.
The kitchen offers all the necessities. We find that for the 4 of us, the space is just right.
There were binoculars on the premises, so we enjoyed watching lobster boats and searching the skies and ocean.
The sunsets were spectacular.
Fresh local food was a highlight. Of special note was the seafood and berries.

I've told all my friends to book this place for a vacation of a life time. The fresh air, lobsters for dinner that were caught the same day, clams fresh from the flats, the views, the people! I just can't express how relaxing and refreshing the week was. The sea kayaking was outstanding.
We saw seals and eagles as we kayaked around the islands.
Our dog loved it too!
We've already booked for next year.
