2br/2bath on canal leading into the spring feed Weeki Wachee River. Go up river to the Weeki Wachee Springs State Park or go down river to the Gulf of Mexico. Enjoy manatee watching from your own back yard or on the river. Screen porch overlooks water. There ia also a dock. Two Kayaks and a canoe available or bring your own boat. There is a boat ramp on site and larger ones nearby.
There are nearby bike and walking trails.
Enjoy the sunsets at Bayport Pier or Pine Island beach.

Simple comfort in a slice of paradise
Our family of four enjoyed our time in Weeki Wachee immensly! The home was on a quiet street with ample space for outdoor play and a dock to fish from. We were all very comfortable and warm on this particularly cold weekend - the heat cranked and we also loved the wrought iron fireplace on the back patio at night and in the chilly mornings. We were comfortable in the home, and well equiped for river exploration. The use of the jon boat and motor made our weekend, truly special. Bert was very polite and accomodating for our stay. We saw manatee, fish and the beauty of this timeless place as well as the countless friendly people we passed in boats and kayaks as well as the residents along the river. We will definately be back in the summer months to take a dip in the crystal clear water and perhaps frolic with the manatees!

BeckyJack's Food Shack - excellent grub and friendly faces
Mermaids of Weeki Wachee - We were mesmerized by the show and the nice grounds, good coffee/hot chocolate at the restaurant to keep us warm!
Crystal River - nuff said

Great little "Home-Away-From-Home" on canal handy to Weeki Wachie River!
This is a very neat, modest home in a community of homes of the same variety. There are as many canals as there are streets in the neighborhood!
The 2 bedrooms were spacious, as were the closets. Plenty of drawers in the spacious oak furniture. The furniture in the living/dining rooms is just as cushy as it looks. Great place to relax and unwind after a busy day outdoors.
The canoe, 2 kayaks (ride on top type) and jon-boat are great features. You an actually get out and explore the river like we did!
This is a great, family friendly spot on the Nature Coast. Neat and clean as a pin and reasonably priced. For the price, don't expect a NEW home, just a neat, clean and maintained home for your pleasure.
I would not hesitate to send my friends or family to Bert's place. He'll take good care of you!
Two small notes on the kitchen: there's not a blender, and the toaster is a little shaky - but still works.

Awesome!
This place is great! We have 4 kids- the dock is perfect for swimming, fishing and playing around. We took the kayaks and canoes out and saw over 10 manatees and even touched one... The canal water is almost perfectly clear, if you canoe for about 10 minutes you can get to the river which comes from the Weeki Wachee spring and the water there is perfectly clear like a bathtub... amazing! The house is clean and has all your basic needs, for laid back living you cant beat it. We have recommended this place to many friends already and would come back if in the area again.

Great Family Time
Very quiet and peaceful. Canoe and Kayaks were a nice bonus. We stayed here a week and really enjoyed our time. Our toddler loved playing in the water right out front but we loved the short paddle to the clear, cold spring. Manatees even swam right in front of the dock. Great location and a super time...Thanks Bert.

Just got home.
Just enjoyed 4 days with my 2 children. Had a blast. Rained the first day, but enjoyed the mermaid show. Decided to stay at house the next day and used the canoe and kayac. We had such a great time. Met a lot of the people on the canal, very friendly. Aleady decided to return in August, but my available weekend is booked up. Oh well. Will definately return. Ran into a manatee when we tried to take the canoe out, took forever for him to move for us......lol. Can't wait to return !!

Very relaxing . .
If you are looking for quiet, relaxation in a very casual atmosphere - this is it! The house has everything you need, the river is right out your back door and the house is close to one of the most popular beaches in the area. Restaurants, bars and shopping are also close by (most within 5-10 miles). The owner is a quick phone call away and responds to questions very quickly. We would definately consider renting here again. The fact that we could have our dogs with us was a big plus also.

The winters here bring down our northern quests to escape the cold and enjoy casual days by the water.
In the spring and summer look out . Its time to break out the bathing suits and hit the water.
