I was disappointed in a number of things regarding the property starting with the lack of specific information regarding the property itself.
Instructions such as where the electrical panel was located and labelling of lights etc would be a big help as there were a number of things that had been shut off at the panel that I had to sort out for myself. It would also be helpful to have a flash light and some candles in the event of a power failure. Fortunately I had one myself when the power went out one evening.

The morning after our arrival the temperature and pressure relief valve for the kitchen water heater blew flooding the floor of the kitchen with scalding hot water.
This left quite a mess to mop up not to mention I was in bare feet. Shortly after I had finished cleaning up the first mess it blew again.
So after mopping up for the second time I unplugged it.
The property manager was contacted the by the caretakers the morning after our arrival and told me he would be there in half an hour around 09:30 am.
He arrived unannounced the evening of the next day.
(I would have liked to have called to see when he was however the phone on the property is disconnected.)
I advised him of the issue with the water heater at this time and he shrugged it off.
So we washed dishes (by hand as the dish washer wasn’t functional) in cold water.

The south end of the pool was (and I’m sure still is) covered in algae and the water was very cloudy.
On two occasions the caretaker decided to add a lot of chemicals and told me not to use it for 4 hours.
In both cases this happened around lunch time with no warning.
We lost the use of the pool not once but twice for two entire afternoons.
By the way the second time this happened I tested the water and the Chlorine level was off the charts.

It would have nice to have been advised to leave the plastic covers on the beds as we realized to our dismay that the reason for the plastic was due to the gecko droppings from the ceiling. I have stayed in a number of different properties in the area over the last several years and have never encountered this.

There are number of spots in the flooring in the main house where termites or the like have eaten thru it or undermined it.
To the point where someone is going put their foot through a hole and break an ankle.

Given this property is presented as an “estate” and at premium rate I have to say it falls short!
